Re: How do I download from a TouchPanel?
Michael S. Moran
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýNot exactly the case. You can replace the EXACT panel type with the Vtz compiled file and it should work perfectly. You will not be able to do any edits, however.? Best regards, Michael S. Moran On Jan 22, 2016, at 16:37, CJ ONeill COneilliv@... [Crestron] <Crestron@...> wrote:

Re: How do I download from a TouchPanel?
A quick followup question- I guess that would mean that you couldn't replace a touchpanel without the original programming?

?
You can't pull a vtp or vtz from legacy panels. ?The only thing you can do is copy all the files from the file system, but I don't think it will work properly if you stuff them back in after loading another project.?

Re: How do I download from a TouchPanel?
Thanks.? I appreciate the help!? I would think that the only way the original program would work after loading another project would be if I had all of the same joins in the new TP pages, which is pretty much an impossibility.

Re: Mitsubishi G-50/AG-150 HVAC controller
Did the HVAC installer enable the 'special' features.
Honestly can't remember what they have to enable as the last time I did one of these was about 5 years ago. But it would not work without these features enabled. If anyone one can remember what features have to be enabled by the commissioning engineer kindly post on here so I can make a note for when this will come back and bite me. |

Re: Security and back doors
I've been looking for vulnerabilities in that thing since it came out...as long as you've set up security, you're pretty good.
The default assumption that just because it is windows that it is automatically vulnerable is an asinine and ignorant one. ?An embedded OS is way different than the version of the OS you're running on your PC right now, not to mention it eliminates third party applications and the user space completely, which are the biggest threat vectors. |

Mitsubishi G-50/AG-150 HVAC controller
I'm currently working on a project with an AG-150, and the modules I used a couple of years ago on another project don't seem to work. I'm using the?"Mitsubishi G50 Master v1.0" and?"Mitsubishi G50 Group v1.0" modules, which are the latest in the Application Market, and they worked successfully on an earlier project. ?The former module handles the ethernet connection to the Mitsubishi controller, and the latter is used for each unit that needs to be controlled. ?I've double-checked all of the IDs (Group numbers) with the HVAC contractor, but still can't control or get feedback from any of the units. ?However, the Master module's status says "connected". Has anyone else tried these modules recently, or have any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

Re: HVAC BACnet and 'global' settings
Heather, in my experience it really depends on the BACnet unit you're interfacing to and the number of BACnet objects you need to blast.
Not a cut and dry answer I'm afraid. It's always preferable to have as little BACnet data transferring back and forth - if your HVAC programmer can add an object purely for home/away and process the data themselves that would be ideal. Other than the above, I've found BACnet integration easy to deploy and commission, very reliable and very quick in terms of end user experience. It's very snappy. Ensure your Crestron processors are on the latest firmware as there's been a bunch of BACnet fixes in the last few versions. Hope that helps. |

Re: MP3 Player with digital input triggers
I bought one of these years ago and never got around to actually trying it out. ?Can't beat the price, though!?

Re: Smart Graphics - Button List
"That's exactly what I'm looking to do. Is there a way to do this using
only existing Crestron tools or do I need to write HTML code as
previously stated by Keith?"
Times I've needed something like this, I've done what was previously suggested - have a button trigger a sub-page that contains your list of selections.? Picking a selection from that list closes the sub-page and optionally updates the text/icon on the button that calls it up. ? - Chip |

Re: How do I download from a TouchPanel?
Thanks!? A compiled version is all I need so that I can re-upload them if I have some issues with my program built off of an earlier version. I did download the compiled program from the Pro2, but don't see an option for doing so in Toolbox for the touchpanels (TPS-4L's, 6L's and TPMC-8X's).?

?
You should be able to download 'compiled' archives from the touchpanels or processor. You most likely will not be able to modify them without the actual 'uncompiled' source code.

HVAC BACnet and 'global' settings
Heather Baiman
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI know that if I create some HVAC presets, ie. Home or Away, with Crestron TSTATs that I can send the commands to all stats at once with no issue.? With CoolMaster, Daikin, Mitsu systems I have to use a macro/stepper. ? Since the BACnet stats are all on independent points/objects, do I need to use a macro/stepper here or can these systems handle a 'blast' command? ? This is my first BACnet project, so I have no experience to draw upon. ?
