Check out the answer id 5282 on Crestron online help (thanks to Ted for finding it). It will tell you everything you need to know. It seems to work quite well. Still looking for an app that actually has the return function.

Have fun,
DAVE

Hey people. I just noticed that there was a "Launch 3rd party app" and "Return to launch app" reserved joins in VT Pro-e when editing my current iPad project. I tried them but they don't seem to do anything.

Anyone knows what it is used for, or if it's for a future release? I got some iPad app my client needs to launch manually to control other stuff, and it would be interesting to add it to the Crestron project.

Re: Pioneer Elite VSX-91TXH RS-232 module

I used the vsx 84 module for my 92, worked for me, don't remember how close or not but I used it for several years before upgrading recently

the pio avr's act funny on 232 though, any command sent to the avr will turn it on, even the power off command, turn on delay was longer on 232 than ir as well

Re: dish network IR modules

Do you mean a serial module or an IR driver?

Does anyone happen to have IR modules for the dish network VIP722 & the 311? It would be greatly appreciated and save me a lot of time building modules if someone already had these. Thanks.

Is the Animation Time set low? I know that's a parameter on sliders; not so
sure about gauges.

Specifically the analog feedback seems to update slowly. I tested with
just an analog ramp and two buttons to ramp up/down. The analog gauge ramps
up and down but slowly and keeps ramping visually after I release the
buttons.

Same program/ buttons/ analog ramp/ analog gauge - work fine and
update correctly on a standard panel / XPanel.

Re: TV One 1T-SX-644 HDMI Switcher

So... After calling TV1 support, I finally found why my programming wasn't working.

Even though it is not in their documentation ANYWHERE, you are supposed to send a CR at the end of each command. The response I got, "We just assume that you know to send one at the end of the string..." NOT IF IT ISN'T IN YOUR DOCUMENTATION THAT I NEED TO DO SO!!! Vent over. Have a great weekend everyone!

If it's like any of the other TVOne horribleness, pressing buttons on the unit itself should generate strings that appear coming in to your com port. Other dreck I've worked with from these folks (IIRC) have been 57k 8N1, just pins 2, 3 & 5.

Has anyone had any luck controlling this via RS232? I am almost to the point of beating my head against my laptop because I can't get it to work. Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated. It's a very simple configuration. Multiple HDMI sources into the switcher and out to a display. C2N-FTB buttons being used to drive this switcher to select the input. Each button press hits a MOS which then drives the SIO which SHOULD trigger the switch. I have checked all my settings and rechecked the 232 cable to the switcher and it still won't work. HELP PLEASE!!!

Well, I have it working now... I am a little confused because all I did was switch from a serial send to a SIO. Oh well... atleast it works now. AMEN on the not hearing from the customers thing :-)

Re: Core 3.......ya

They added a parameter to adjust the "liquid" smoothing, aka lag. Dunno if
it's in release, may be a Labs-only thing right now.

Re: TSW series a lot to learn and ask...

Jesus @ Audio& Net Artist

I just spent couple of dead hours figuring out, between Core 3 Stuff and
the Greta Ipad example, getting the idea how can i merge both, but
I ended up just checking out and whatnot... My impression was: I do TPS as
Main Page and activities> A/V Distribution with a bar for sources on top
below status bar. follow by button bar with rooms and volume at side. so
selecting room then Source brings the sub page of that source and volume.

trying adapt this environmental to core 3 and new Ipad layout with the
rotation example That somehow i cannot see the rotation manager on my
definition of Mobile device on SIMPL.

I decided not to pay that much attention to example cause i dont then to
code that way and its just an example with bunch of "Main" Pages. but what
to do when you have 30 Light loads? put 4 loads per subpage and keep
fliping? I need to bang my head in this....

Crestron Mobile Pro G and MPEG4

Hello,

I've been trying for hours to integrate MPEG4 streaming into Crestron Mobile Pro G. Theorically, website says "Streaming MPEG video viewer" in the specs sheet.

I was unlucky to find any support either from Online Help and Crestron in Spain about it... they redirect me to the old mjpeg solution. I've been trying it with:
-Acti IP camera
-Aver IP camera
-VLC streaming

no lucky at all... meanwhile, TSW displays excellent H264/MPEG4 video quality (through rstp)

I'm not sure if Mobile Pro G can accept RSTP protocol, I've tried also a walkaround solution to stream H.264 through http not rstp but was not lucky either.

If someone could provide some light to this...

Kind regards,

Javier Maz¨®n

DMCO-77

Hello guys,

I've recently found some information about a DMCO-77 future relase. It seems to be an DMCO with RSTP streaming capabilities. I'm wondering if there's any information about it somewhere..

I would be excited to integrate DM signals into TSW through RSTP h264.

Kind regards,

Javier Maz¨®n
