Re: Event based scheduler

Event based scheduler

Hi All,

I am struggling with creating an xpanel and simpl programming. I am trying to create an xpanel which allow to select a date and start and finish time of an event i.e. sensory event in this case, and if the button is toggled to active, it activates that particular event and send commands based on start time and end time and then the button is toggled off, it should not send any commands. I know there is event scheduler module but its not working for me.
anyone can help me out here please?

Thanks

Cresnet not an option?

Temperature Sensor recommendations to integrate with crestron CP4

Hello,

I am looking for a temperature sensor recommendations to read the rack temperature which can be connected to the IO port of the CP4.

Thanks in advance.

Re: 1 beyond hawk

Do each head has different camera ID as well? 81 for head 1 and 82 for head 2? So? two instances of the same module with different ID's for saving and recalling the presets for each of the two head's.

Re: 1 beyond hawk

Edited

You can control either of the heads individually.? Their visca protocol is documented in the manual and one particular byte determines which camera the command is for.??

I've not used the crestron module so not sure about that as I've only done it through QSC previously but I did note that when enabling/disabling autotracking, you had to send the command to each camera discretely.

Re: IR receiver to IR transmitter with DM-NVX

AS Tony said. If they are using a Universal IR remote 1- Just do an IR Extender or 2. Have a device that does IR capture to 232 (assuming it is not used for the Display control. 3. Just pull a cable save time, money and support issues.

Re: Ipad App port 41794 lock up

This is not uncommon.. and has been a issue since day 1.. I don't think it is a Crestron issue as if you use the IP ID with an xPanel it works and if you close the App and re-establish the connection it usually will work again without intervention.? I have found Client education and training on how to resolve it stops the service calls since Blue is not going down the path of tablet style.. (ughh Thanks for The rebranded Viewsonic with Jacked up Batts). Put a MS Surface on site with xPanel same ip ID as an iPad and when a ipad fails see if the Surface or NUC pc etc is still good if so then call Steve Jobs.

1 beyond hawk

I have a client that would like to have manual control of 1 beyond hawk.
Hawk is mounted with two heads. In the manual it says it's possible to control the camera with visca protocol but doesn't mention which head, 1 or 2 is being controlled.?
Is it possible to control both the PTZ's of the hawk via autotracker module, which is visca based, available in crestron database. The client wants to enable/disable auto tracking and use manual control for both the PTZ's.

Re: CP4N Router Issue - Everything Getting 169.254.X.X Address on Control Subnet

Disconnect the DM and Isolate the CS from anything but a single device set to DHCP you need to know if it is the Processor or something else. Isolation is your friend in a situation like this.. May have to take several steps if Processor is Good with only the DM Lan with No end points start reconnecting endpoints. If it fails Hook only your laptop or a device with a stand alone switch via CS port and verify it passes out DHCP and maintains its services. If Not Processor has issues. If So well will be a long day.

Re: CP4N Router Issue - Everything Getting 169.254.X.X Address on Control Subnet

Lincoln not sure if it was the First First Time..nothing like a wall plate with two ports and some say oh let me connect both to this device (Flip Flop Hippiddy Hop) Enterprise goes down. But yes Make sure the DM to the the CS is using the Lan port and no loop backs on endpoints, and as mentioned no other DHCP Servers or anything with a static 172.22.01 - 02 Adress unless you changed it. Does the processor run clean with nothing connected on the CS. We just had one Console ipconfig said it was 172.. But it was not handing out DHCP addresses to even just a laptop. A bad Firmware upgrade to the Nic's could cause it or just need an advance replacement and RMA it.

??If you disconnect the DM frame, does the issue go away? If you move the DM frame to the LAN port, does the issue go away? IIRC you don't have the DM frame in the office to test with and that CP4N, so to me it?*feels* like a configuration, or connectivity issue.?

Haha god I can imagine that¡¯d have taken awhile to find.?

In my case, I know my laptop is the only thing plugged into a courtesy port on any endpoint since I¡¯ve checked each and every endpoint with a LAN port to make sure of it.?

It¡¯s a DM-MD-16x16-CPU3 with a bunch of 4K DM wall plate transmitters and a handful of HDMI for inputs, and DM RMC scalers plus a DM-DGE-200C for outputs.

Internal ddos exhaustion of macs, broadcast storms, dhcp mem leak maybe

What is the matrix?

?

If it is a DM matrix are you sure no one is plugging anything into one of the courtesy ports?

Further if it¡¯s a DM matrix does it have the 2-series CPU card or a CPU3 card (and if a CPU3 card what are the connections to it)?

At a very large company¡¯s HQ (I can guarantee you¡¯ve heard of them) in the early(ish) days of DM some well-intended soul took down the corporate network by seeing the ¡°LAN¡± port on a DM-TX-201-C and a Ethernet cable hanging loose near by and thinking ¡°hmm, here¡¯s a cable that¡¯s not plugged into anything and a hole it fits in, let me fix this real quick¡¡± (my understanding is the first time it took several hours to find the offending device. And yes I did say ¡°first time¡±)

Thanks for the response.?

I¡¯ve tried a couple different switches, including a 9300 and M4250. Even without a switch in the mix, having just the matrix plugged direct into the CS port, the problem persists.?

What is the switch you're connected to on the CS side in the problematic rooms?

The symptom sounds very much like what happens when a transient DHCP server shows up on the CS but assuming you can guarantee that no rogue DHCP servers have shown up on the CS some badly behaved switches (most notably but at this point anciently the CENSWPOE24) would reflect the DHCPOFFER packet from the processor back to the processor causing it to think it saw a ghost.

Subject: [crestron] CP4N Router Issue - Everything Getting 169.254.X.X Address on Control Subnet
?

I've got a problem that I am experiencing on multiple separate but identical systems, where the processor (and eventually everything else on the CS) is losing its proper IP address on the control subnet after some time - it seems to happen most often anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour of running. When it happens, the processor reverts to a 169.254.X.X address, and I can still connect to it at this 169 address via web browser or system info, but I have to reboot it to get it to grab the right IP from the internal router, which is 172.22.0.1. The LAN side gets a static 10.X.X.X /24 address. This problem has been happening since day 1. FW on both processors is 2nd latest version.

I tried unplugging the LAN side of the processor completely and directly connected the control subnet to the LAN port of the DM-MD-16x16-CPU3 in the rack. I connected my laptop to a LAN port on a DM receiver in the field to get access to the processor. Even with the proc LAN not hooked up, the problem still persisted. My laptop was the only thing plugged into any LAN port on any of the endpoints, and the DM matrix was the only thing connected to the processor.

The error logs are filled with hundreds of errors (1 gets generated every second), mostly "GetEthernetParemeter: Unable to get GET_CURRENT_IP_ADDRESS for specific Id 0", and a lot of "RQIF_IssueGetCommand - ROUTER NOT CONNECTED"

I have been running this program on another CP4N on my desk for a month without issue, but both rooms with CP4Ns in the field which run the same code have the problem. Only difference is they actually have devices on their LAN/CS. Oddly enough, if I swap a CP3N into the room, it runs just fine.

Has anyone seen this problem?

Re: Crestron app, before I make a expensive mistake

For this test project, I now have just 2 IP ID's? (04 and 05)? When I first set them up was before enabling SSL.? When I did that, my HTTP ports changed from 80 to 443 and my CIP ports changed from 41794 to 41796 but even so, they were both working locally. I forwarded both 443 and 41796 and still no outside connection. In toolbox I opened the IP table and see that it's listing both IP ID 04 and 05 IP address at 127.000.000.001, both type slave and both ports listed at 41794.? So I guess I need to modify those IP addresses to match the devices and change 41794 to 41796?????

Re: Mitsubishi mini split and Crestron Home

The CoolmasterNet is fairly old I bought it in 2018 and it won't update past firmware version 0.6?

Quoting support :?

The device is older hardware and does not support BACnet communication. It cannot be upgraded, you will need to purchase a new device. For Crestron Home you require BACnet, we don¡¯t have another way of integrating.

I have 8 indoor units for the VRF system so I'm considering adding a DIN-AP3 to the CH and using a bridge between the two processors... Still cheaper than buying the whole thing tbh.
