Re: Smart graphics button state (active vs inactive)
Its actually similar to old VT, just different naming (Of course!)
I think you want to use the 'Advanced Button' model. This provides a Mode feature which will give you the ability to have a different aesthetics for 'Normal (not pressed), Pressed and Active states. Each state can be customized with the color, text, icons, etc. For your application, you'll only need one mode (Mode-0) and will not need an analog trigger, just a Digital high/low in SMW... You'll want to sett these like this: - Show Local FB: unchecked - Show Control FB: Checked - Advanced Button Style: Round Advanced Button (You'll set the sizing in the Position and Size section at the top of the properties) - Mode-0/Normal: Standard settings, but no text. Image Type: Round Common Up for a black-ish off state - Mode-0/Pressed: N/A - Mode-0/Selected: Standard settings, but no text. Image Type: Round <color> Active for the color status indicating on state Give the button a relevant join # and when the join is High (LED to be active) you'll see the color. HTH! |

Smart graphics button state (active vs inactive)
I have very little smart graphics experience.? I'm trying to recreate the control panel of a older Generac generator that I can use with my iphone. It has a 3 way rocker switch for "Off, Automatic and manual".? It also has a simple "set exercise" switch that is normally closed and opens when Pressed.? I've got all that no problem.? On the face of the control is 7 LED's that indicate the "state" of the generator. I can fairly easily tap the power going to the LED's and run them through a versiport.? I'm only dealing with 12 vdc to the LED's.? The LED's illuminate when there's a problem so except for power, they are normally off.? Unless I'm missing something and most likely am, I don't see how to create buttons in smart graphics? that show active and in active state using different colors.? In the inactive state all buttons will be black.? In the active state the power LED is green, the low fuel is yellow and the rest will be red.? This is easy in good old VT ProE.? Done it many times.? Just not seeing what I want in SG.

Re: Trying to Understand Crestron Gateways. Helped Needed please!!!
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThe MLX-2 was just a bad remote.? I am sure others had good luck with them and others that didn¡¯t, but we had a couple of houses that they were just not stop problems with communication to the gateway.? We could stand 10¡¯ from the gateway itself and would get random responses.? Sometimes they work for a day, sometimes they work for a couple of hours.? They were never consistently functional all the time.? You would send a command and roll the dice on what happens next.? If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn¡¯t even attempt to use them even if they were free.? I can assure you that it wasn¡¯t an RF gateway problem, but most certainly a remote issue.? Still using the gateways in homes today with other devices without any issues. ? As for the CEN-ERFGW, it depends on what you are looking to use for remotes.? Crestron had many different flavors of RF gateways, with one always replacing the other and more so, backwards compatible.? If I was to look for a newer remote and wanted it to be 2-way, then I would just go with a TSR-310 or the previously discontinued TSR-302.? The TSR-310 has been great on SIMPL projects (too many timeout issues in CH) and it runs on WiFi with no RF gateway needed.? If you didn¡¯t want to do the 310, then I would do the 302.? Had only 1 go bad on us and when you drop it enough times, they tend to break..? That will utilize an RF gateway and you could use either the CEN-GWEXER or CEN-ERFGW. ? Now for the CEN-ERFGW, they have nothing to do with WiFi and changed up how they are talking on the RF spectrum..? ? Pat M ? ? From:

Re: DMPS3-4K-350-C and the "Content LAN" Connection for AirMedia
Thanks Kevin,
That makes sense. The only think that I see as a downside with the 3200 is that the HDMI input is only v1.4 and can only do 1080p-ish video... Also, in looking at SMW integration, I see this note about the 'VideoOut' analog input of the Display Switching Slot for switching between the HDMI IN input and AirMedia function:
If Canvas is needed, can you enable the Canvas and set the VideoOut to '0' and then when Canvas is not used, go back to using a '1' or '2' for the VideoOut normal switching?? Or do you need to Not attach a signal to VideoOut if you even want to use the Canvas feature?? TIA! |

I hope this RMC3 can be a direct replacement for my Pac2M where power supply failed. ?RMC3 is definitely a more powerful processor, but for your application it really doesn't matter IMO. Think of the RMC3/CNX-HUB as 'one unit' which is replacing the Pac2M, which is a processor and Hub in one box. Thus, The RMC3 Cresnet connection (Only Y-Z-G) would feed the CNX-HUB on its A port. The two Cresnet connections that were originally on the Pac2M (see your picture IMG_9788) would be connected to two of the CNX-HUB ports (B and C) which would continue on to your power supplies and connecting blocks. The one other connection that you'll need is Power (24vDC, G ONLY!!) from a Cresnet Power supply which can be attached to CNX-HUB port D or E. This is needed to power the CNX-Hub since the RMC3 does not provide power on its Cresnet connector. HTH! |

Re: No Lights in Crestron House anymore please help very dark now Pac2 mini maybe failing?
HI Chris thanks,
My local new learning Crestron guy is loading the light program onto the RMC3 to run lights today. ?Hopefully everything goes off without a hitch and lights work fine as planned. I hope this RMC3 can be a direct replacement for my Pac2M where power supply failed. ? But just so I understand you think I will need to add a CNX HUB incase my lights start to not function properly? And that HUB can be added close to where all my keypads connections are I sent you in the photos? ?Or should it be added next to RMC3 in mechanical room where former Pac2M was working? And one last question how my Crestron guy suggested using the RMC3 to replace failed Pac2M is that ok? Or should I have picked up a Pac2M instead they were about the same price but he suggested RMC3 because faster processor and newer tech for faster keypad response.? |

Re: DMPS3-4K-350-C and the "Content LAN" Connection for AirMedia
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI spec the AM-3000WF over the software version every time. For the cost of adding the AirMedia software license to the DMPS you almost have the cost of a AM-3000-WF and with the AM3000 you get the full AirMedia experience vs the striped down version in the the DMPS software version. If you are worried about losing an HDMI connection on the DMPS then spec the AM-3200 and use the onboard HDMI input to gain back an HDMI input.??Cheers!? DMPS3-4K-350-C and the "Content LAN" Connection for AirMedia
Hi All those who do Commercial board rooms, etc...
I'm just looking for what people are spec'ing these days... Is using the 350 with the older AirMedia technology that's built-in (thru an AP and the content LAN) still something that is reasonable to use for new installations? Or is it really better to spec the newer AM tech as an add'l device within a design?? Looking for others' opinions on this, Thanks!! |

Re: No Lights in Crestron House anymore please help very dark now Pac2 mini maybe failing?
I just check on eBay and there are a number of Free, Used Pac2M units for sale (for me, anything under $ 100 bucks is free!...:) )
I would buy 2-3 and that should solve your issues and keep you going for the next 15 years! Other than that, I'm sure that you could find a *almost free* CNX-HUB that will pair with any other processor... You definitely want a hub... That said, even though having back-ups and/or updated hardware is recommended, you may still have a Cresnet issue that swapping hardware will not fix. Some iterative trouble-shooting should be on your list. there are some software tools that a "seasoned" Crestron guy could help you with, but just disconnecting links and then devices on your CHBlocks could narrow down an issue if you have it one... |

QSC volume control
I have a CP3n and a new Core110f-v2.? Crestron control of the previous Core110f was working.? I loaded the same QSC Design to the new Core110f-v2.? I see the same named controls in the QSC design. I can control the Mute but no changes in the volume.? I have tried the Crestron application market version 5.0 and 5.2. |

Re: Autonomics Command
I just uploaded an "Autonomic Presets" module to the Files section, which extracts the user-created Favorites from the Autonomic and displays them in a list.? The Media Player object's "Info Only" layout could be used to remove the browse list, then the favorites (only) could be displayed and selected with this module.
I've used the module successfully in several projects, but recently it has stopped working at a couple of them.? I don't know if that's a result of an Autonomic or Crestron update, but haven't had time for extensive troubleshooting to figure out why.? My own (very old) Autonomic finally stopped working, so for the time being I don't have one at home to test with.? I just tried it at a new site this week, and it worked great like it usually does, so YMMV. |

Thanks Chris and Lincoln ,
Do you think by looking at my photos my system will still work or should I add a hub?? ?Or should only add a hub if I start to experience issues with button presses or issues with lights? As other than my Pac2M failing after 15 years my lights have been solid never any issues with commands. And if I do need a hub could you send a link at the one I would need for my system. For control on AppleMusic, AutonomicControls and Sonos are the 2 that come to mind.I would recommend Autonomic over Sonos. Given the vintage of your system, getting a full-featured control interface on your touch-panels might be a bit of a chore (though updating your UIs and reprogramming the system might add some value beyond this). A simple way to get this done is to have a source selection to a new music player and just use the device's direct app for control (both Autonomic and Sonos have their own apps). this is not a great solution but functional and simpler/less expensive than updating existing code or reprogramming the system... |
