Jason Mussetter, I really appreciate your suggestion to use Hercules. That program is pretty stunning. I was able to send the hex commands and it didn't append any additional characters. I also was able to strip down my program a bit just to remove any other moving parts. It's possible I added a carriage return without realizing it by hitting the enter key when putting hex codes into the prompt in debug. So, likely just user error, which undoubtedly many of you suspected :)

Slip Cougan, I've downloaded that ex-link module and I'll explore it more. It seems very powerful and could likely simplify the whole project.?

I appreciate everyone's input and help moving me forward. I've made considerable progress because of all the helpful info you've all provided. I deeply appreciate the support. This stuff isn't straightforward, but I can see how it all comes together.

Issue is I can not access the Sharps web server to confirm any of the parameters? None of the ID/Passwords in the docs / Internet have not worked?

IPID is set correctly on the display for RoomView Connected control? With the IPID converted to decimal instead of hex?

Hello all,

I posted this in the facebook group but figured I'd try here as well.? ?I have 3 new Ipads 9s installed running the CH app in Guided access "kiosk mode".? After a few hours or less, they lose their connected to the system.? Minimizing the app and reopening fixes it.? ?I tried connecting via Hostname, IP, and cloud.? Same result? ?Ipads and Iphones that aren't permanently installed work fine.? I setup an ipad via cloud at my house and it stays connected all day.? ?Network in the house is unifi.

Any suggestions?? ?Running out of things to try.? ?TB heard something about it, but didn't have an immediate suggestion.

Where did you find this info? Have you found a help file? the demo program that I just downloaded didn't have any PDFs in the Zip...
The only module in the file is the (crap) CCD TV Tuner Ethernet v2.2 (cm) whose help file is generic (unless I missed something)

Was called into a Library to fix a room system that was installed by others a few years ago. All of the 5 rooms have Sharp EQ1 series display (TH-65EQ1U) with 4 working fine. All were setup using Crestron Connect and the Crestron RoomView Connected Display module. It looked like the room may have never been setup - the DM Receiver had the HDMI cable coming out of the Input side going to the display and the I address of the unit was set to a static IP address, but was not on the proper LAN segment. Corrected those issues but no control from the MPC3-201. Since the IP table shows that the display off line - I assume that the displays Crestron Connect web page is not properly configured. Crestron Connect is On in the display menu and I have tried every user ID / password combination that I could find on-line to access the web server of the display, but have been unable to access it? Any thought? Thanks!

I suspected that as well, the Chromium build on these TPs are years old. Which in the Android world doesn't necessarily mean it's a problem, but that doesn't account for TB having it work in their environment.

I have new boxes coming.? I will update the thread with my experience, once I have it implemented.??

I have a few PRO versions out there.? No control options that I have found, other then the app.? The app is clean and works well with iPhone.? I've put them into legacy systems as replacements for Escient and legacy music servers.? Definitely a good option vs Sonos for $ and operation.? Had a client install as option for guest to Airplay/Cast into there systems.

I have just finished a project with this combo. The ir codes are learned from the remote, and the cable company is Armstrong in W PA. Will upload files in 5.
There are no transport buttons, as you need to hit menu, then use the L/R buttons to chose the action.

Don’t define the userproginitcomplete signal in your program. Essentially there’s a timeout that I believe is 20 minutes. If the affected program doesn’t “see” the programs’ init flag it goes into a timeout wait period. Just remove the signal in your program, because if something happens at program start you’ll have to wait for the timeout to expire before anything can move on.
