From the error it looks like it's choking on data being sent from the media app to the sonos module, so I don't think it's related to S1/S2.

Maybe a touch panel is dropping offline with the media app open?

It would probably be better to start a separate thread for your questions, as I think they are more basic that this one has become, it might help others as well...
That said, the need to learn some of the fundamentals (like navigating Toolbox) is critical for someone who is going to manage Crestron systems, especially custom systems vs. Crestron Home, but even that as well...
I'd say basic training is probably not appropriate for this forum, though certainly basic questions are always welcome!!

Hi guys, I'm new to Crestron and learning as I go, so go easy on me please! I am having problems with a new TSR-310 and getting it connected to my main WiFi network, so I searched and found this thread and figured I'd add to it instead of creating a new thread, if I should create a new thread just let me know.

I can't get my primary WiFi network to display so I can connect to it, it displays my guest network and I've connected to that, but my system is on my primary and so it can't find the system when on the guest network. I do have access to Toolbox, although I really have no idea how to use it, so I fumble through learning as I go, but I can't seem to connect to the remote with a USB cable. I followed the above instructions to reset the remote and I thought it did, but when it rebooted it still had my guest WiFi network locked in and connected, so I don't think it fully rebooted.

Can somebody please offer some guidance and help as to what I should try to do next to get this connected to my primary WiFi network? This looks to be a great remote but right now it's just a great paperweight, lol! Thanks!

Yes we work only with Avycon and Axis for several years now since I've tried to steer us away from Hik and Dahua.

The control is limited tho. There is no API, that comes directly from Alfred who is an engineer there who gives the best and most advanced support to us from time to time.?

Since we don't use external control for these, I'm sorry I don't have more relevant info...... But I would say that their onvif support is solid and if you are simply controlling cameras, not playback, you should absolutely try sending IP onvif commands directly to the cameras not the nvr.

Beyond that, ask for Alfred ..? and if you do get any updated NVR control please let me know !

I'm seeing this Error Pair continuously on a site with an older Sonos Connect that is still on the 'S1' platform. It seems to work fine for the client, but I'm concerned that it will become an issue.
Is this anything that stands out to anyone as something specific, or could it be just the S1 legacy not playing nice with the v3.1.0 module?? I haven't integrated with S1 units for a few years...
I see that there's a v3.1.1 module, but the release note just indicates a change to some labeling in the S# side...

Anyone have any ideas??? TIA!

I forgot to mention that the WAPs are currently configured to be in 'access point mode'
- our network switch connects to the 'in' port on the WAP

Previously they were not set to 'access point mode' and they experienced the same problem.? Switching to 'access point mode' was a possible solution.

Hey,? I have a building with 3 independent rooms.? Each room has a VC-4, a TST-902 and a wireless AP.? The GWEXERs are backordered, so we used wireless routers for connecting to the VC-4s.? The 902s have been setup to be wiif only, and have the master IPs set.? The VC-4s are running separate SIMPL programs, with the 902 wifi only version (different device IDs per program).

The 902s will occasionally disconnect from the VC-4, and sometimes even drop from the network.? The disconnects are intermittent.? I've also experienced the screen going black while I'm actively pressing buttons.? Sometimes the 902s will go for hours without issue, sometimes it's multiple times per minute.? Pushing a new or updated program file, or rebooting the 902 seems to help for a bit.? Wifi range is not an issue, one 902 is located 15ft from the WAP and still had issues.

I've spent countless hours working on this, and working with Crestron tech support.? Our setup is basically their testing ground, they're confused on what's happening and they all have different theories.? I was told they're monitoring our setup to use for future troubleshooting.

Here are some troubleshooting steps we've taken:
- put all devices on static
- put all devices on dhcp
- enable csauthentication
- disable csauthentication
- changed the 902 gateway to the VC-4 IP
- firmware updates across the board
- changed device IDs
- changed access points
- set access point to "preferred"
- increased standby timeouts
- tried using default dhcp dns and google dns?
- placed the 902 extremely close to the WAP to see if range was an issue.

Currently they're all set to dhcp.? 1 of them has csauthentication off and the other 2 have it turned on (tech support is testing to see which is more stable).

Has anyone else had similar issues?? Or does anyone have any ideas?? Our brains are shot!? Thanks in advance.

I have done this for a dedicated browser only TSW as well as a panel that is just for the Sonos app. Once the panel boots up it goes right into the desired application. You can just have a blank first page, and under Transition Complete Digital Join just use the reserved join needed- for Open Browser it would be 28600. That way then the page is drawn it fires that join and opens the browser. If you add the browser embedded app to that page you can specify the File- Default Path which would be the browser home page.??

What are you using to "show" the D3 loads? Are you using a Simpl program to interface with D3 or are you using the UI generated from within D3 to a iPad or touch panel? If the latter, then you can edit the VTP from within D3 and on your buttons to control you can add the other lights to that button. At least last time I used D3 for generating a UI you used to be able to do that.?

A dealer I work for has upgraded their older Digital Watchdog camera DVR which we had doing what we needed for control via IR.
They have changed this to an AnyCon?AVR-NT532C 32-ch DVR.?
I have never even heard of this product line. Tech support is very nice, but has no idea who Crestron is (no surprise). they've sent me an IR codes doc that is limited in both explanation and command set.

Any chance any of you have even heard of this, or better dealt with them??

In all my years, I don't remember seeing this issue, anyone seen this and have a fix?
I have an LG TV IR driver (I've actually tried a few) that need to control (3) little/cheapo LG panels in secondary bedrooms.
They are connected to the standard DM-RMC-100-C room boxes. DM8x8 and RMCs are all 1080p level video and have latest FW for their capabilities.
when firing any command, the command is latched for ~2 seconds (esp. bad for Vol +/-). I can tell by the function as well as my Xantech emitters having the talk-back LEDs flasshing for 2 sec.
When I try the same IR driver(s) on the CP3 ports they just pulse for ~ 0.05 sec like you'd expect.
I have tried applying the 'pulse IR' filter via the Device Learner tool, with identical results...

It seems that the RMCs 'don't like' this IR driver (I didn't have time to test another driver on the RMC).

Anyone seen this behavior, and have a fix for it??? TIA!

hope all is good. I am first time working with virtual controller and wondering if anyone can help me here. I have been using VMK-WIN to shutdown remote PC with controllers like cp3 or cp4 and now since i am using Virtual controller so I am not sure if i can Use the VKM-Win or not. seems like remote PCs are not connecting to my virtual controller even though I can ping it and controller can ping the remote PC

I had loopback in the devices as well. What throws me off is that in toolbox when I use easy config cause it wont let me connect to the PRO3 with device discovery that it had 0 entries in the ip table. I loaded the program for the 8th time or so and now its populating. TSR is online and so is the switch.

First off, I am assuming you are using SIMPL and not Crestron Home.

Like Phil said, when you load the PRO3 program, it will take care of the IP table in the PRO3.

But you don't use the 127.0.0.1 loopback address in the TSR-310.? Instead you need to manually set the address in the TSR-310 IP table to point to your PRO3.?

Also check if you have SSL enabled in the PRO3.? Open a console to the PRO3 and enter
SSL
That will tell you if SSL is enable or not.

If SSL is enabled on the PRO3, you also need to enable it on the TSR310.? Be default, authentication/SSH is enable on the TSR-310 but SSL is turned off.

Finally make sure neither the PRO3 or TSR310 is blocking any IP addresses.? Open a console on each and execute

listblocked

Use the

remblocked

to unblock any devices.
