Hello ,?
? I tried to reinstall Simpl windows but nothing. ? I attach screenshots of my software version? ? Thanks, Ntiran |
Re: Managing/Processing volume
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, doesn?t answer your specific question, but we always prefer to present dB values to the client rather than just % values. So i wouldn?t do the conversion and just present the dB value as it comes from the AVR ¨C sell it as a feature to the client: ¡°see, it?s exactly what it says on the AVR display¡±. ? Re: Crestron Flex video output blanking
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýMake sure you have the EDID dongles in place that come with the flex kits. I had this happen recently and the install guys hadn¡¯t put them in as per the ¡°do¡± guideTim Greenbank Control Systems Engineer On 30 Mar 2022, at 17:24, Bambam_101 <wiredhometechnologies@...> wrote:

Crestron Flex video output blanking
Just wondering if anyone has started coming across this?? Have been to multiple sites today with recent Flex installs with reports of the output to the display turning itself off and requiring a reboot.
Basically,? system works fine, both the TSW1070 and the display until it rests for a while and then it seems the HDMI output from the Flex Compute shuts itself off.? Resulting in the LCD display showing a "No HDMI cable connected" message. If i enter the Windows back end via the TSW, as soon as the windows desktop loads, the image returns.?? Have had 12 units today all doing the same thing.? Across 2 different clients.? Tried calling True Blue and got the usual response. "Never heard of that before.? Please send us the log files from all the units, schematics, serials, mac addresses etc etc etc.? ? Hoping someone may have come across this recently and have some advice!? |
Re: adagio ootbf smw
It is been a long time since I used the ootbf feature in the adagio -- probably over 15 years ago.? All the systems we did that started off doing ootbf where converted to SIMPL as the ootbf had too many limitations.
But to answer your question, I believe the ootbf was part of the firmware (at least in the AES) and in particular, I believe it was a separate firmware package for the front panel instead of the main processor firmware.? So I don't believe there is so call "base ootbf smw" that you can look at.? Instead, ootbf was based on having to do no programming via SIMPL or other Crestron tools.? It was all done from the front panel.? You would hold a certain combination of buttons on the front panel to get it into ootbf mode.? It was one of those ideas that you had to remain in the ootbf box in order to use it and in most cases that box was too small.? The great thing was you could program it in SIMPL too and get around those limitation. I believe that is how most people used it. Don't know if that helps any. |
Managing/Processing volume
Hi All,
I've been struggling (read 'above my pay grade'...Ha) to get volume control of an AVR (Yamaha AVR) working correctly? - more specifically getting the volume feedback to behave... Here's the parameters that I'm working with 1. The AVRs return volume levels in strings from -80.5 to +16.5 where the two extremes only relate to the unit's panel display (-80.5 reads 'MUTE' and +16.5 reads 'MAX'). Basically the range needed are -80.0 to +16 in whole steps 2. you'll note that -80 to +16 is a convenient '97' steps! 3. my framework uses (within SMW) analog values from 0-65535 (0%-100%), which renders to the user interface a 0% - 100% display 4. We've been using an old serial to analog convert module that works 'fine' 5. Because generally we find that the Vol_FB from devices like AVRs are a bit sluggish, we loop the send volume back to the FB when ramping and then after 1s seed the AVR's volume level in to update the 'real' volume The problem is that in certain parts of the range (seems like 55% and above), you'll ramp the display up and then, when the seed from the AVR comes in, the display will (usually) step down one step - Ramp to 55%, seeds to 54% - ramp to 72%, seeds to 71% - Increment one step from 66% to 67%, and the display falls back to 66% I understand that this is a scaling conversion issue, and if the AVR was giving me a typical 100 steps, I imagine that we wouldn't be discussing this! Does anyone have ideas as to how to make something like this more reliable?? |
