Re: adagio ootbf smw

It is been a long time since I used the ootbf feature in the adagio -- probably over 15 years ago.? All the systems we did that started off doing ootbf where converted to SIMPL as the ootbf had too many limitations.

But to answer your question, I believe the ootbf was part of the firmware (at least in the AES) and in particular, I believe it was a separate firmware package for the front panel instead of the main processor firmware.? So I don't believe there is so call "base ootbf smw" that you can look at.? Instead, ootbf was based on having to do no programming via SIMPL or other Crestron tools.? It was all done from the front panel.? You would hold a certain combination of buttons on the front panel to get it into ootbf mode.? It was one of those ideas that you had to remain in the ootbf box in order to use it and in most cases that box was too small.? The great thing was you could program it in SIMPL too and get around those limitation. I believe that is how most people used it.

Don't know if that helps any.
