Re: NVX on Control Subnet
I'll look at the version number tomorrow when I get back on site (I don't recall the number), I pulled straight out of the box and plugged in.? I'm populating everything in SIMPL and I have not even logged into the NVX units.? I'm using the streamLocation$ from the hardware definitions and feeding through some buffers to handle all routing.

Re: NVX on Control Subnet
1) Were you able to just boot the switch straight out of the box with zero configuration and have it work? ????? (Our switch had old firmware with a minor bug - no data could pass in default config - so we had to work around that from the get-go. Maybe now that we're on current firmware I should factory default the switch.) 2) Does your Available Subscriptions auto populate? I can manually add the subscriptions, then switch through the XIO analog signal in SIMPL and it works, but I worry that the lack of an Available Subscriptions list means the IGMP table isn't populating correctly. I didn't create a new VLAN, but with the switch in factory configuration there's already a "Default" VLAN populated with all the regular ports and a separate Management VLAN for switch management. Right now we're at 7 NVX-TX, 7 NVX-RX, the CP3N, and a SWAMP connected on the Default VLAN. |
Re: NVX on Control Subnet
I have roughly the same setup except I did not VLAN my NVX units.? I have the NVXs plugged into the 48 port version of that switch (switch is default), a touch panel, global cache relay, Crestron PC300, and a Biamp Tesira's control port.
Everything is working fine, in one room I have 3 NVX transmitters and 1 receiver, in another 12 NVX transmitters and 5 receivers, in another room 17 NVX transmitters and 2 receivers.? All rooms have roughly the same setup (CP3n, PC-300, GlobalCache relays, NVX, Biamp, TSW-760).?? |
NVX on Control Subnet
If I want the CP3N to act as the DHCP server for the control subnet including all the NVX boxes, does my VLAN still need an IP address? I'm using an Extreme X440-G2-24t switch, which is supposed to be configured for multicast by default. IGMPProxy in the CP3N is off, and everything pulls an IP address on the "Default" VLAN, and the CP3N can control the Sonnex on the same switch the NVX boxes are on. My TX multicast addresses are even, starting at 239.1.0.2 When I go to an NVX set as a receiver, there are no subscriptions listed under available streams. |
Re: Getting an Xpanel to run on a Mac using Parallels
I have absolutely no problems running an XPanel stand alone, neither in Win10 from VMware Fusion nor in macOS. Same with XPanel Web in FFX. At the same time.
? Sorry, it says "XPanel Web on Device" in those two windows that are actually NOT hosted on the device but stand-alone. It misses it on the actual Web Panel, though. Key is to install the Adobe Air framework properly everywhere. |

Did you look at the CCU manual??

Re: Getting an Xpanel to run on a Mac using Parallels
I run XPanels all the time on Mac thru Parallels 12. I just install the XPanel like you would on a regular PC. I usually run it under Shared Network.

Re: Shure MXA910 protocol details
Chip, we must be talking about different mics?? I'm referring to the MXA910 Ceiling mic (only has 1 LED on it), it sounds like you may be referring to the tabletop version that has the color ring (MXA310?).? Sorry for any confusion, I haven't used the tabletop ones yet, so don't know if those are different.

Polycom Group 700 DTMF dialing issue
Hi All,
I have a Polycom Group 700 codec running firmware version 6.1.3 in which the DTMF dialing doesn¡¯t work from the Crestron module which is the Polycom Realpresence Group Series v2.5. Debugger doesn¡¯t show strings being sent upon button presses. Any thoughts? Thanks. |
Re: Sony SRG-300H controlling over IP not saving presets
I can confirm that the OSD issue of these cameras is fixed using method of Crestronfreak55.? I was experiencing same issue with similar model camera and could not figure out how to prevent OSD from showing message when saving/recalling presets.
Yesterday I changed setting in menu to disable OSD Messages, then with that message off, saved all presets (just in case).? The OSD message issue didn't come back. Not sure if it was preset 1 that did the trick or not, as I saved into all the preset slots so recalling wouldn't bring it back, but it worked like a charm.? Thanks for the info on this!? Not intuitive at all. -jason |
Re: Getting an Xpanel to run on a Mac using Parallels
If by "the XPanel runs off the Crestron processor", you mean it's a web X-Panel

instead of an exe, then I'd say that's the problem. I always use exe X-Panels because of all the issues the browser panels seem to have - network issues, browser issues, security issues, OS issues, etc. An exe is "self-contained" and much less troublesome. The only issue I've seen with Macs, is the actual Adobe Air installation which is a little more complicated than doing it on Windows. I won't comment on the use of Savant... :-) --- On Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 9:06 AM, Heather Baiman wrote: |
