BYOD Wireless display

We are considering using AirMedia, AM-100 or the extron sharepoint 200. ?Does anyone have thoughts on these? ?Which is the best? ?Is the a better BYOD from another company?

Thanks

Err... why?? Our programming/ui staff run the full suite of?Crestron apps on Windows 10 without any issues.? If you have some secret info, it'd be great if you could share it with the rest of us.

Owain Price

If there are a minimal amount of loads it wouldn't be too bad. A collection of buffers, arams and init/equ. It could be a good learning exercise for you.

If there are a lot of loads I would run.

Thanks,

So you can whip up a module that allows the client to choose any load and add it to any scene or create an entirely new scene? Please do tell.

Re: help with creating lighting scenes

You could write your own module pretty easily as well

Re: Simpl+ Manuals

The help file in SIMPL+ is pretty extensive, just hit F1 on a piece of syntax or select Help from the task bar.

Re: New Crestron products at ISE

It looks like it's a European product. I personally think it's ugly and hope I don't have to deal with it. The LCD isn't a touchscreen, either.

Re: help with creating lighting scenes

Then add a ping processor.?

Re: help with creating lighting scenes

no pyng. the lighting system is DIN rail, AP3, 8SW8, DIM4 etc.

Only found a tekmar 557 that works with the specs. ?Anyone implement a tekmar system before and were their any issues (e.g., connection, latency, etc)?

?

Has anyone worked with a controllable thermostat that can accommodate a 3 stage heating and either 2 or 3 stages of cooling? ?Also, need to have ability to use remote temp/humidity sensors.

Thanks.

Re: New Crestron products at ISE

oh shiny!

I got really excited for a moment there, thinking they finally had a new thermostat.

"costs about twice as much as a multi-button Crestron keypad" ... so $500 range?

Take a look at Pyng.....it's been just designed for the owner use and seems to be?what you need...what's your main hardware now...

client wants to be able to create, edit, delete and rename lighting scenes in his system on the touchpanel.

something like this:
- press create lighting scene button
- pick the loads affected and set the levels
- save and name the scene
- the scene will then appear on the list if saved

is there a module that works like this?

Re: OT **Microsoft Surface Tablet** No RT Version

I was using MacBooks prior to getting the SurfaceBook, but did have some experience with SP3 (one our sales guys uses one) and thought it was pretty cool. ?I don't find a lot of use for the table mode of the Surface Book but it's cool to use once in a while. ?As far as programming it works great, nice and fast (yes, I have the i7 w/ 16GB). ?

Only a few problems I've run into:
- When I connect to the dock my (2) external monitors don't fire up till I win-p to select local monitor then back to extend desktop
- Sometimes when I turn it on with no monitors attached I will get a blank screen, have to detach the table to get video then re-attach
- The touchpad isn't that great, two-finger scroll doesn't work in Simpl and I can't right-drag.
- I use a Logitech trackball, and the connection is bad if the laptop is between the USB receiver and the mouse. ?The USB ports are on the left side of the laptop. ?I have to use a short USB extension cable for the mouse to work correctly. ?

Re: Wire control of Haivision Stingray2?

Errrm,

Yes, Device Learner in TB - but the strip carrier function does not seem to be there (I'm fairly sure it used to be...).

As Jeremy said, use FTP to get the legacy WinDEAL software will strip out the carrier.

Just whatever you do with WinDEAL, do not try to configure the learner hardware if it's not actually connected... bad things will happen.

Cheers
Phil.

Re: OT **Microsoft Surface Tablet** No RT Version

I gotta ask.. did you use a Surface before going to the Surface Book? I'm currently using the SP3 i7 8GB model, but find myself wondering if I'm missing out by not getting the the Surface Book with the additional 16GB ( assuming this is the model you're programming on ) .. Hows your experience been between the both Crestron software wise?
