HAI Omni Pro II modules
Any HAI modules available out there besides the Infusebox set? I've looked at Tony's module available from the HAI website, but I need feedback support for more than 96 zones, as well as individual zone status. Control system will be a CP3, or I may run it standalone on an AV2. Thanks in advance!

EX Nightmare over
Heath Volmer
A week or so ago, we were hung up in a nightmare EX install where none of the EX dimmers or MLX3 would acquire. Wi-spy scans showed lots of not-too-high level interference across the spectrum.
I'm back in town today. I fought here and there, bringing the MC3 up to the dimmers, and managed to get some of them going. Finally, today, starting from the gateway and working outward, I was able to get the rest of them going. I have a couple of theories: 1: There is a Chinese microwave spy station broadcasting out of the 30M house next door that just happened to be offline for the duration of my acquisition procedure. 2: All of these silly dimmers are spitting out "wide" band interference of some sort until they are acquired and locked into a channel. After more and more are locked in, the spectrum gets cleared out until the last one finishes up. They also build up their mesh and adjust accordingly of course. Does anyone have any good knowledge of how these things behave before and during acquisition? I'll do some research. Might be smart to start acquiring as they get powered up. Re: Cameo Wireless Wallbox Dimmer Opinions?
We've installed about a thousand of these and the CLW-SWEX-Ps with great success. They are reliable and fairly durable with most of the features we've needed. The acquisition process is a little tedious, especially for a large installation. The gateway can support a lot of devices with good response time. The infiNet Diagnostic Tool is great for determining where there are "holes" in the coverage. We've only used these with D3Pro and that interface is feature-rich. We seldom see them falling off the network. We would always prefer the C2N-CBDs with CLX-xDIMx modules in a CAEN cabinet but retrofits often preclude that approach.

Here's the things on our wish list for these dimmers: 1. Backlighting 2. Consistent button layouts with the other Cameos like INET-CBD and C2N-CBD. These are 6 button units and the CLW are 4 button so sometimes it's hard to get a uniform look at one site. 3. Even pressure side to side. The mechanical guts of the dimmer is on one side so pressing that side takes less pressure than the other. Missed presses are significantly higher on the "other side". It would have been good if the mechanism was on both sides of the button for consistent user results. 4. Can sometimes strip the terminals if torqued to typical electrician torque levels. HTH. Glue it to the base and... Now it's a hard wired table top panel.

Well if you're handy you can just make your own. It's not rocket science.

There is a place that can rebuild the battery here:

You might consider using an iPad as a replacement panel. --- In Crestron@..., "cheinemann605" <cheinemann@...> wrote:

Not sure about the example you listed below, but "Arrakis Multi-Zone Single-Port with Setup Pro2 Demo v2.smw" has multiple touchpanels controlling multiple Arrakis zones.

Also, I believe it was Neil Dorin who recently posted some links to really awesome pictures illustrating how this all works. -----Original Message-----

Re: door locks recommendation
Yes, your issue with battery life is due to the module you are using, I am assuming the Crestron one. It polls the locks extremely often. These locks give unsolicited feedback after any event. If you open the module and change the polling of the lock as I have, once every 24 hours, simply to query the battery life, you will see the locks last 4-5 months of average use. Then you can just invest on two sets of rechargeable batteries.

FYI,
I just noticed, at least with the current databases/software, that the analog feedback from at least Audio, System, System 2 and System 3 does not work I don't know when it broke; so be aware if you are using these signals. I called it in to TB; it doesn't work for them either. Heather Baiman Electronic Environments 247 W. 37th New York, NY 10018 Phone (212)997-1110 Fax (212)997-0474 |

I use NVRAMDISK 64k, NVRAMDISK 128k, and if you want to send it from your program via the console symbol add a V to the command, ie: VNVRAMDISK 64K\r

"Sorry for the delayed response, I was researching and getting up to date info. The Yale lock has been Crestron Certified and the module has been completed. See attached, these are the locks which will be Crestron Connected. We are currently deciding the distribution channel. This will be announced for resale shortly Date is TDB." I have also used Kwikset with Leviton Zwave controller. My issue was battery life, it would only last 10 days. the feedback could be seen every 15s, my thought was that was causing the shortened life. I RMAs the kiwkset lock 3 times to come to this conclusion. Other than that, the feedback, control, integration with MC3, Mobile Pro, MTX3, MLX3 was seemless. Please let me know if you have a hint of help on the battery life I have experienced. the customer has decided to wait for the Vale, but I could try and get back over there to try something if you guys have a hint. Thanks! Trey -----Original Message-----

Re: Samsung RS232
Chip
You can start by opening up any of the Samsung PPM modules in the Crestron database. The SIOs inside those modules and the checksum calculator will get you 90% up and running - the trick after that is verifying the input switching commands, as the rocket scientists at Samsung couldn't figure/be bothered to keep consistency between pretty much any two models that I've noticed - at least when it comes to inputs fancier than composite and S-video...
