Symbol Mismatch error

Dan Gilstrap

Hey all,
Anyone ever seen a symbol mismatch error?
I'm working on a job where we have 18 stats all CHV-TSTATAs.
Can't control any of them, They are on the network.
Have run test mangler and network analyzer they are all there and report.

If I hadn't already controlled a few hundred of these things I would think I didn't know
what I was doing.

Had TB on the line and inside my computer, program is good and running network
analyzer remotely shows all the stats reporting.

I am using crosspoint logic and in test mangler we can see the signals going to the stat
symbols from the ecross so we know that part is working. Just don't see anything change
on the stats inside the Crestron software or get any feedback from them.

They can be manually controlled with no problem. Manual changes don't show in Simpl
Debugger (got grief for calling it Test Mangler) either.

Last night I gave up, deleted all the stats from the program, loaded a blank program to
clear anything on the processor, and reloaded the stats into the program recompiled and
uploaded.

Immediately got an error log (first time this came up!) listing EVERY stat and showing a
symbol mismatch error.

I know I have the right symbol in the program and it matches the stats that are installed.
Could I have a corrupt library or something?? And before you ask, I did reload the symbol
library from disk.

This really has us going, we had a bad Rack2,a bad 300watt supply, a bad PVID, the wiring
was messed up (I only had to program it). this job has had its share of issues, but all have
been resolved except this one, and I can't believe the dealer got 18 bad stats.

Using SIMPL Windows: 2.10.32
SIMPL+: 3.03.08
Details:
Install Path: C:\Crestron\Simpl
Data:
symlib.tio: 570
iodev.tio: 570
Include3.dat 1.69

OK guys have at me, I can take it. I think :-)
