If you want to prevent that in the future, some clients I¡¯ve come across will use a piece of aircraft cable a few inches shorter than the cables connected to an eyebolt securely anchored to the wall on one end and in the furniture on the other end ¨C depending on the grade aircraft cable you¡¯re using it should be able to withstand several hundred to a few thousand pounds (or roughly 1.5x to 4x irritated professor) before failing.

So it turns out to be a simple answer.. One of the instructors didn't care for the desk location so tried to drag it where they wanted it, while all the cables were still attached to the wall. Broke the jack for the TX connection just enough to be intermittent and apparently confuse the AM300. Thanks for the ideas though!?
