I tried routing video with both symbols undefined, but I didn't get anything, so I guess I'll have them confirm they have it patched correctly before I go any further. I?wasn't expecting?control across the fiber; both DMs have their own unique IP-IDs, and each have a MAC-based IP reservation on the room's CP3N Control Subnet, and both DMs are in PNM, so all is well there. I was hoping it was something simple like "leave it unassigned and it will just work", so at least now I know it "should" work. Hopefully they just have it patched wrong eh? Maybe I'll get a chance to try my new Fluke fiber-testing stuff, if I really got stuck.
Anyway, thanks again for the conformation. Glad I didn't have to spend an hour on hold for this one!
