Or have a very frank conversation about how cutting down on the number of type of UIs will reduce the upfront programming cost, total cost of ownership (through adds/changes in the future) and deployment time.
It's actually a really easy conversation to have and one I've had many times along the lines of "The cost savings from eliminating having to build and create submittals for the TPMC-3SMs will more than outweigh the cost difference of replacing the TMPC-3SMs with TPMC-4SMs"
