Re: Cross Point connected to multiple Equipment

Witmarquzot

Your welcome.

I think almost everyone in the group has gone through that problem(or similar).
Also, the InUse signal does not always stay high, it has a tendency to go low for a couple of waves(at least in my experience) when connecting a new controller to an equipment cross point. I use a ROS and an AND to make sure that it stays high until the inuse has gone low for X seconds.

I doubt you will need this info, but stay away from DiscAll. It will reek nothing but havoc on a system. Good if you want to break the system, but I have yet to find a good use for it.

??
If you are using Disconnect only, it only Disconnects the numbers it the equipment/controller values.
For EX:
E:100
C:1
Disconnect
Connect
Disconnects E100 and C1
Then connects E100 and C1

If you use DiscFromC it will disconnect all the equipment from the selected controller. This should give you the result you are looking for.

For Ex:
E:101
C:1
DiscFromC
Connect
Disconnect all Equipment from C1
Then connect E101 and C1

Trying to get a better grasp on cross points by testing on my home system (fyi, wife is annoyed).

I have my equipment connection routing going into a Serial/ Analog One Shot that has disconnect running running on the out and connect on the out*.

Somehow when I connect to Equipment crosspoint 101d, and press join 45 on Control crosspoint 1d, I see the signal come out Equipment cross point 100d (was connected to) AND 101d. If I reboot the processor it will only come out the first I connect to, but it never seems to loose connection when I try to move to a different piece of gear.

How is this possible, and what am I missing. Quickly my wife is looking for the granite rolling pin.

Thanks
Tim F
