Re: Combinable / Divisible Rooms

Oh yeah because it is so easy to get every one to agree and stay agreed on the room function from beginning to end.

If you ever do figure out a way to do combine/uncombine rooms in an easy and robust fashion that can be used in more then one situation, i would like to see it chip.

Divisible rooms are all about planning and ensuring that everyone agrees on
the scope. If you get all of that agreed upon, then it is just the
implementation of the pain...I mean plan.

My fun was 5 rooms side by side plus a control room. They wanted to use
any combination of the 5 rooms also includes video conferencing, phone
conferencing, recording of anything to DVR or DVD. Also the ability to
route sources from another building. This one took me about 2 1/2 weeks to
program. Knock on wood the rooms have been running since 2007.

Here's my favorite recent one: three rooms in a row divisible by two
air walls, with two floorboxes in each room. Touchpanel on the wall
in each room, plus touchpanels on three lecterns that they want to use
at any of the six floorboxes and have everything magically work with
no manual configuration. Divisible rooms are the fun part...

Is it just me, or is logic for managing combinable rooms (touch panel
