Question.? If my 12v accessory battery was dead, would it cause the car not to run?? I Know it sounds like a dumb question.? I know the 48v is what powers the electric motor.
The car would not run since all the relays are powered by12V.
Also other than putting on a external battery charger, how did folks back in 1977 charge the accessory battery?? The External port only charges the 48 volts on the batteries under my seat correct?? Think I would have know that by now.? The hood I cut into my car gives me quick access to the battery but in the old days they would have had to crawl under the dash.....
My car came with the 48V charger under the passenger's seat and a Sears 12V battery charger under the driver's seat with a 12V battery behind it.?? Both chargers were tied into the charging port.
