Re: Charging accessory Battery

I prefer having the accessory battery for times I have the headlights, fan or stereo on for extended periods, such as car cruises that will not effect my range at all. Like I might cover 35 miles but in 5hrs, rather than one.? A plus is that it also is not likely to fail when driving.?

On the against side, a converter is cheaper sometimes, lighter, and probably simpler, and less maintenance.?

So my 1977 citicar has a accessory battery under the hood.? It does not charge off of the main charger or is not hooked up that way.? I can hook up a trickle charger and plug that in separately to keep the battery topped off.? I'll look into the 12v dc/dc converter.? any ideas where I could source one?
Thanks again and sorry for the dumb questions.
