Re: need a citicar motor - no motor in there at all...

Alex,
Just got an estimate for rebuilding my C-Car motor... $750 !! He also
said finding a replacement motor for your car would be next to impossible
(at least through him). You might check with NuKar (901) 853-8021 they
might have some advise. Also, you might consider a wanted ad on the EV
Trading Post
Maybe there is one out there somewhere. Good luck, sorry I couldn't help.

I just purchased citicar with no motor in it. Is there any hope for
me? Should I look into getting a different rear end? The guys at
evparts.com said that I should get a ez go golf cart rear end for it,
and they could supply up to a 40 hp motor for that rear end(too much
for me 5-10hp is fine) and that the brakes were compatible with the
citicars. Disregarding their advise, I won a Cushman golf cart rear
end and motor on ebay for $120 this week, I will see if I can get it
to fit when it gets here.

I would rather just rebuild and bolt in a citicar motor if possible
though.

Anyone out there have any of these beasts laying around?

Thanks, Alex.
