Has anyone been sucessful connecting the client to the server using your BPQ node?
?
?
As far as I have progressed is Step 1 of 3: Connecting to G4OTJ's node GB7NBH. The Xrouter indicator is green.? The Server goes from Red to Pink(?) at the moment I click Connect, then remains that way for the duration.? I have waited for a couple of hours with no change.
?
I get an enty in my MHeard list from my node call.
The locked route entry is a different call, but I have tried my node call in there as well.
The locked route never shows the > indicating a connection.
Nothing ever shows in the Links page that I could see.
The client (web page: ) is on a machine on the same LAN, and LOCALNET is defined and works (no passwords ever asked.)
?
The directions were not clear to me if the locked route is from a unique call assigned to the Xrouter or if it shares the node call.? Any definitive answer for that would be appreciated.
Nor was there any indication that we should choose a unique alias.
?
Anyone else have similar results?
Anyone with a sucessful connection that can give any insight?
?
In the meantime, I will hook up a monitor and try it on the BPQ host machine.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYes, it works but you need to be able to connect to node PEWSEY:MB7NPW. You need to work out your own connect script to get there.I suggest you try out the route manually before you enter it in the WhatsPac setup. 73, John On 16/02/2025 14:13, Mark Taylor wrote:

John, I can see that if it were an RF connection.? If you choose I am a BPQ Sysop and want to set up an L4 connection I thought the instruction would take your information, have you install a MAP line to your XRouter, and the far end (MM7NPW) would dynamically install a map line to your XRouter, creating an AXIP path from MB7NPW to your XRouter, then to your BPQ node call.
?
Maybe I was just too optimistic.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI don't? use xrouter. The new WhatsPac interface in BPQ removes the need for it.WhatsPac is just a BPQ application. You connect to the node that runs it and type the application, so need to be able to connect to the MB7NPW node. If you already have axip links to a node in the uk you may be able to find your way to it. I probably shouldn't have raised expectations by mentioning it! 73, John On 16/02/2025 20:06, Mark Taylor wrote:

I believe the longer term plan for WhatsPac is to have sort of federared servers, a side effect of which would probably be that separate networks could exist, so there could be a US one in time. That said if you can find a fast route in to the UK that would be interesting too! It's a new project in alpha but it's very cool, some more information will hopefully soon be added at if anyone wants to follow, there's not much there just yet though. The equipment at GB7NBH has been moved and the radios are off at the moment.. I believe that it will be back up and running Tomorrow at some point.. This will account for not progressing to the Whatspac server..

If you can connect to KIDDER, then connect to me at GB7BDH.. I have a direct link to MB7NPW/Whatpac on Port 4..? |
Hi Mark,
?
I think you might be getting confused, as XRouter doesn't use MAP statements. If you are using XRouter, the MAP statements go in the BPQ configuration, to allow BPQ and XRouter to talk at layer 4.
?
However, if you are a BPQ sysop, you no longer need XRouter, as WhatsPac will now interface directly to BPQ.

Fyi, KIDDER is G8PZT (Paula's XRouter node). I have a link, so anyone that can reach either K5DAT-7 or K5DAT-5 can reach KIDDER via "C KIDDER" or "C G8PZT". 73, Lee K5DAT ?

I have an AXIP link with K5DAT who is the initial connection from my "switch."? But, you are in the UK.? Someone else should give you better detailed script.

Is MB7NPW on NETROM? 73, Sent from Proton Mail Android -------- Original Message -------- On 2/17/25 15:50, Mark Taylor wrote:

(Answering my own question here...) Yes it is, so you should just have to connect to PEWSEY, which is MB7NPW, and then do a WPS.? You may have to connect to KIDDER if PEWSEY isn't in your node table. 73, Eric WG3K FM18rp Packet: WG3K@WG3K.#SMD.MD.USA.NOAM E-Mail: wg3k@...
