It is a directed bull and will therefore be forwarded using the HR (Personal and Directed Bull) routing where you have a WW.

Re: Winlink Express using Bpq32 node via RF to access mail from CMS

Ok Mark,
I appreciate your efforts and direction on this!
?
I will make the modifications and see how it goes.
?
I'll have to think about having my incoming Winlink messages in another location other then Winlink Express. So as I see it in order for my Winlink Express to send and receive via RF through the node in I'll have to establish a gateway and register it with Winlink?
?
Thanks?

Re: LinBPQ error & exit

You can run at any time. Can you try with the other address on each line of the dump?

Thanks?

We'll be running it on some Dell Wyse 5070s, which are a bit faster than the pis and will take 12v. I know bpq32 will run fine on it :)

Re: Winlink Express using Bpq32 node via RF to access mail from CMS

Acually, it looks like you are trying to access your node as if you are a gateway, and since you are not it will indeed fail.
?
It's easier to do what you want without being a gateway, I believe.? (If I am wrong then John will correct me.)
?
Comment out the following lines:
CMS=1 ;Enable CMS Gateway
RELAYAPPL=RMS
APPLICATION 4,RMS,C 1 CMS,K1KSR-10,MHRMS,255
and remove everything below this line.
?
?
Now, you are not a gateway, but BPQ will periodically check your Winlink messages for you if you make a small change in your BBS User record.
?
In your own BBS User record, check Poll RMS.? In the boxes where it says For SSID's, enter a zero in the first box. (and even that may not be needed.)
Finally, enter your Winlink password in the CMS Pass text box.
Save the user record.
Restart BPQ since you changed the config file.
?
BPQ will check your messages periodically and place your received messages in the BBS as a personal message to you.? You can access the BBS remotely over RF by connecting to your BBS, or locally using Webmail.
?
?
If I am wrong about BPQ checking your messages without being a gateway then you will need to request that.? It takes about 3 days.? We can reconfigure later if necessary, and fix the other errors in your config file.

Re: Winlink in-line picture attachments dropped by BPQ BBS

John,

I have to apologize as it is the CMS server of Winlink what is doing the dropping of in-line attachments and not the BBS.
I logged into the CMS server from packet to read my test messages manually and did a listing first and I? could clearly
see in the listed byte size that the inline attachment was dropped, what was not the case with a normal attachment.
Both messages were way within the attachment limit. I see no setting in my Winlink account how to change that, so
I have ask them why they are doing that. It is it anyhow not the html code in such a message,

Re: Winlink in-line picture attachments dropped by BPQ BBS

The subject suggested the problem was with messages from winlink.

Are these normal email messages? Is so could you forward one to my email so I can see how it is structured and also the message file as received by the BBS?

Thanks,
John

John,

Inline attachments like pictures between the text are just unceremoniously dropped by the BBS and deleted.

This also the case for the html code.? (Non-inline attachments are fine.)? Is this a bug? Should be nice to receive these.

Linbpq version is 6.0.24.69.

Re: Winlink Express using Bpq32 node via RF to access mail from CMS

It sounds like you have already applied for and were approved to be a Winlink Gateway, is that the case?
?
Have you followed the documentation about this to create a user called RMS and set the forwarding script to RMS?
Do you have an application line with the command RMS and the connect to your telnet port?? i.e. Application 1,RMS,C 3 CMS,[call],[alias]
?
Are you using the same call on your Winlink client that appears ANYWHERE in your node? Node Call, Port Call,? or anything?
?
And, from your response it looks like an RF port can be used to access your BBS, right?
?
?
Your entire BPQ.cfg file will help, but just your telnet port config, RF port config, and your Application lines should be sufficient to determine why it does not work as you expect.? Be sure and include your call in your profile or next post.
