Re: Link partners wanted¡
Just a heads up,
If you are using AUTOMAP pver the internet and are not requiring a config change to map your link partner, you are inviting anyone on the entire internet to freely use your radio and internal network however they wish, as well as exposing anyone else you are connected to as well to any random person. |
Re: Teensy RPR TNC with BPQ32?
Its the standard "6 pin packet" pinout. I use the same wiring on my boards which are much cheaper than the German ones. On Sun, Nov 10, 2024, 03:35 Gary - K7EK via <gary.k7ek=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: Teensy RPR TNC with BPQ32?
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Gary ,I'm a big fan of HF Robust Packet. The Teensy TNCs are affordable. I'm horrible at making cables. Lol. Go to HamMadeParts.com and contact Les WY0GTR@... He made 2 cables for me for the Teensy to my Icom IC-746 as well as my Kenwood TS-480HX. I sent him the pin outs for the Teensy courtesy of Robert, but I'll post it here later when I get home. 73 de Chris ww2bsa -------- Original message -------- From: "Gary - K7EK via groups.io" <gary.k7ek@...> Date: 11/8/24 3:01 PM (GMT-05:00) Subject: [bpq32] Teensy RPR TNC with BPQ32? My two Teensy RPR TNC's have been shipped. I should have them well before the new year.
In preparation, I would like to construct or acquire a suitable cable to connect to the rear ACC
jack of my Kenwood TS-590SG.
?
For those running a Teensy with BPQ32, did you have to construct? a cable to connect to your radio,
or is there a source of pre-made cables? The latter not being the case, is there a pin-out available to aid
in home-brewing a cable??
?
Upon successful interfacing of a Teensy RPR TNC with my radio, I intend to open a BPQ32 port supporting
that mode.
?
Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Re: TNC issue
Mark I did have the incorrect settings for windows. I made the proper changes for Windows and it did the trick. Thank you, Tom N2UFM.

Re: TNC issue
You said "Windows 7" but the config is for Linux. Swap the /dev/ttyACM0 for COM4 or whatever your port is. On Fri, Nov 8, 2024, 14:55 Keith G1GXB via <g1gxb=[email protected]> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi
I only ever run a PK232 with Windows but did find it preferred
9600 bauds? as it use to miss commands at 19200 bauds and loss
itself.
I suggest you double check it is in Kiss, watch for the double
flash on power up and try slower speed.

Thank
you for your reply Mark . I do believe the port is configured correctly. It just
seems to me the program isn¡¯t looking for the TNC. Usually a program with report
a port error but absolutely nothing is happening. ? On Friday, November 8, 2024, 1:20 PM, Mark Taylor <mtaylor@...> wrote:
