Re: PERMITTEDAPPLS not functioning in config files....
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýCorrect.PERMITTEDAPPLS , despite its name,? was designed to meet the UK licencing conditions, which can limit the use of certain calls to certain frequencies. It isn't intended to to prevent connecting to applications from the node. 73, John On 04/05/2023 23:20, Matt Atwood, WE1H

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýKISS over TCP is treated by the Node the same as Serial KISS, so PERMITTEDCALLS should be applied.73, John On 04/05/2023 11:42, Bruce Colburn via

I have a DXCluster app available on my node (command is DXC), Its SSID is WE1H-5 its alias is MMKDXC.? It is defined as APPLICATION 3.? If I have PERMITTEDAPPLS=1,2 in my port config, that prevents users from connecting to either MMKDXC or WE1H-5 directly on that port, but, if they connect to WE1H-7 (my node itself), and run DXC at the prompt, they will connect to the cluster.? Is that correct?? There is no way to prevent a user from actually running an application command from the node menu?? Even if there is a custom CTEXT without the command, if they know it exists they can use it? Is that correct or am I confused. -- 73, - Matt, WE1H we1h AT arrl.net http://www.we1h.com |

NTS* and !NTSCA (will this kill a loop?)
I am noticing that some traffic may be looping because I have NTS* as
my outbound partner is the same as my inbound forwarding partner for NTSCA. I am wondering adding an exclamation mark in front of a "match" in BPQ. This works in FBB, not sure for BPQ. Thanks in advance, Chris KQ6UP -- Thanks, Chris Maness |

Re: PERMITTEDAPPLS not functioning in config files....
Good Morning John,
???? I think I may be a bit confused on your response, the only mode I have on HF is AX.25 300bps by way of Direwolf (via TCP) on another machine that handles the HF radio so I assume that is not considered a true "AX.25 port", but instead considered a TCP/IP port? Any chance that there is another way to limit that connection port for applications, or any plans of a new feature to add that ability? Port info below for reference, thanks. Re: Adding Digipeater path to IDMSG?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýNo, it isn't possible to set a path for ID message. You can achieve a similar effect using beacons. 73, John On 04/05/2023 01:08, Jim - KI0BK via

Re: Adding Digipeater path to IDMSG?

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýJim - if there is a way to do it with the IDMSG: directive in the
bpq32.cfg file I do not know or have long forgot how. My bpq32.cfg
simply contains *** I then set the text and a digi using either of two methods. Using the http gui is the recommended way by going to Ports and then selecting Beacons for the port involved which should provide a template to set the interval timing, the destination, any digi's, and the beacon text. The other not really recommended method that can work in a non http gui environment IF you are familiar with the file structure is to hand edit the UIUtil.cfg file although I suspect John may opt to not support doing this... 73 de Rich WA3WLH On 5/3/23 20:08, Jim - KI0BK via

Re: BPQ + NTS + Winlink Client EmComm help (sans Internet)
Yes, I have much of that going already, but I am not having luck with
the zip code in the to: field. I get matches say K6HTN lives in 91104, and she gets tons of messages. I forward her matches to a file (because we are still trying to get her setup), despite 91104 being set in my forward settings for her call, I have to manually go in and tag each piece of traffic to be forwarded. They don't automagically get tagged green like @NTS* does in the AT field. -Chris KQ6UP On Wed, May 3, 2023 at 8:54?AM Mark Taylor <mtaylor@...> wrote:
