Here are two screenshots showing reflections lasting just under two minutes.? Some might? call this sporadic E but a meteor head echo was clearly seen by the NW Hampshire receivers on the first

Re: Strange SID 20th April
The SID at midday was from an M1 flare, listed in the SWPC satellite data, but it does not show anything after about 17:00. This strange event at 19:00 does seem to have been widely recorded.

Re: Strange SID 20th April
I have received the e-mails about the strange SID so I checked back to see what I had recorded. I've attached a screen shot for the 20 April which may show a small SID around the time you are talking

Re: Strange SID 20th April
I also detected the.minor.magnetic disturbance at 1900 but I think that was just the precursor for the very unsettled magnetic period on the 20th.? Nothing seen on vlf though.

Yes, it was your magnetometer I was referring to, Roger, when I said there
was a slight disturbance..
As for the GPS problems, unfortunately they don't give a time for it, so

Re: Strange SID 20th April
I have just seen on the space weather web site that some severe GPS disturbance was also seen on the 20th. No timings given, so maybe another coincidence?

Thanks for the charts.
It certainly looks as though something disturbed the ionosphere at that
time, but what caused it is the question.
It was just before sunset for the paths to Anthorn and

Hi Mark
I did capture a SID-like disturbance peaking 19:06, but I probably wouldn't have reported it as it's within the sunset chaos.? Chart attached.? The glitch at around 18:40 is my induction

Hello,
??? ??? My chart does show a 'SID' at 19:07 on 23.4kHz and 19:04 on 22.1kHz. The magnetometer shows only a minute change, but it is a single axis compared to The 3-axis on Mull. My
