The SID at midday was from an M1 flare,
listed in the SWPC satellite data, but it does not show anything
after about 17:00. This strange event at 19:00 does seem to have
been widely recorded.

have received the e-mails about the strange SID so I checked
back to see what I had recorded. I've attached a screen shot
for the 20 April which may show a small SID around the time
you are talking about but there was a rather larger one around
mid- day seemingly. I am using DH038Ramsloh Germany on
23.4Khz. I am based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

I also detected the.minor.magnetic disturbance at 1900 but
I think that was just the precursor for the very unsettled
magnetic period on the 20th.? Nothing seen on vlf though.
