Interesting Martin, I can hear the station just on the noise threshold of my Rx most of the time. Antenna is a dipole in the loft, so very poor. QTH Coventry, not that far from the Tx. ? Cheers David ? ?

So it is effectively just burning electricity. My guess is it will continue to run until a legacy contract ends, and then it will be turned off. If it was just turned off before such a date, it could be considered a breech of contract, with much greater financial implications than accepting regular income, and using part if it to pay the electricity bill. All the other technical details were in my initial post.
