Folks have been usin Crocus Cloth for polishing crank shafts
& such for many many years . That's why I bought it a long
time back .

An old mechanic I worked with polished hydraulic
valve spools with it and claimed it didn't remove any material.?
Not sure that's true, I figure optics with ball milled rouge,
very slow but does remove a little.
