1) Heydlauff's Service department is the old "Master Tech Appliance Service" ?(734) 662-0641 .? Ask them to send John.
2) Try a can of circuit cleaner from the hardware store. Spray the switch and the door sensor. Clean soap scum from the door gasket.?
3) Power surges or drops may cause dishwasher failures. Check with DTE. Homeowners insurance may provide a free Ting device, which will report on low voltage events. State Farm offered a free Ting device

And, yes, some had good experiences with their Maytag (I had a Kenmore twice before the Maytag.)

REPLY: Unfortunately this is not scent free. We've already tried it. I repeat, I have an a epi-pen worthy fragrance allergy. Fragrance-light just means I'll only get somewhat?sick. I don't want to get sick each time I have to do dishes. I sometimes have anaphylaxis while riding the bus from folk wearing scents, and earlier this week while walking the dog. Someone with heavy perfume parked near where we were walking and opened their car door. I never even saw them. I was 2 blocks from home, and it took me an hour to get home. I had to sit down for a long time before I could walk again. The reaction lasted through the next day.I've always felt safe outdoors. Not so much now. Honestly, if anyone uses dishwasher pods that are truly unscented and they like them, would you please give me a single sample to try? I hate buying a pack of 40, 60, 80, 120 and not being able to use them.?
