Diego looked at Scarlett, "you take him, I am going to go and see who else I can help."

Scarlett gave Diego a nod. She then motioned toward the stairs and looked at the prince.

"Your grace," she said. "Please, come with me. I'll take you to the garage and we can get you into a safe vehicle."

She turned back and looked at Diego again, "Don't be long. We'll need to get out of here as soon as possible."

Sadie opened the mini-fridge and snagged a power drink out. As she opened it and sat on the bed, she began to answer Splice.

"My power is super-strength, rapid healing, high speed and dexterity. I can jump high, too," she counted off the things she could do. "There are people who think I'd make a good super-soldier.?I just...I just want to be left alone, have friends and live a normal life."

She drank some of the beverage and realized she hadn't had anything to drink in hours...actually most of the day.?

"Names just Sadie. Not short for anything," she responded. "I don't have a street name either. Sorry, nothing exciting here."

She finished the energy drink and turned to Splice, "So, what is with the gloves and googles? What's your power?"

"The goggles are just for gaming.? Nothing to do with my power, though I think they make me look cool.? The gloves though..." Splice lifted her arm and studied her gloved forearm.? "They keep me from accidentally taking control of someone.? My power is that if I make physical contact with another person - skin-on-skin contact, that is - my nervous system will splice with theirs and give me motor control.? They become like a puppet for me... as long as I maintain contact.? So the gloves are kind of a professional courtesy.? To avoid mishaps and misunderstandings."? She waggled her gloved fingers and then picked up her game control once again.?

"So, strength, speed and leaping tall buildings with a single bound?" The red-head giggled as her fingers began flying over the control.? "I think that street name's kinda been taken."

And the survival of the colony if it was a colonization mission."

At Akira's wink and comment, Gen concentrated and shifted back into her male state, her breasts disappearing, her face and frame becoming more masculine.? "Is this better?" he asked.? "I... I kinda sensed you preferred male to female, but I didn't want to assume."

Victoria toyed with a piece of twig she picked up off the ground. After a bit of contemplation she shook her head. “No. I think Colin is their son. Really their son. And I think they found me or I was given to them at the same time he was found so they just called us twins. Do I think we are really twins?” She paused again. Feeling the tinge of pain in her heart. “No. I don’t think so.”

The more she thought about her questions and what she was saying the more guilty she felt. Chantel and Vincent had taken her in. Had given her a home cared for her…loved her…this…talk…was a betrayal to them.?

“I’m being ridiculous. My parents are my parents. Trying to seek out two people who obviously didn’t want me is foolish, selfish, and hurtful.” She paused as if trying to convince herself, nodded then stood. “Thank you for this talk. As always you’ve offered me so much clarity. I should get home. My father’s still there visiting and I want to spend a little time with him before he heads home.”

Ragnvall gave her a nod, "very well. We will forego the shaman, then. I do think you need to speak with your father on this. He might give you the answers you seek. But if you ever wish to know the answers are in youyour blood. A little drop and the shaman can have your answers." He reached a hand out to her. "Be well. Be safe. Be loved."

The acrid odor from the explosives used to cause the blast upstairs had temporarily thrown off her keen sense of smell, but as she spoke with Diego she caught a familiar?scent from him. He was a lycan, a werewolf, here in the Midnight Society in the service of the prince himself.?

Now she'd really seen everything. Still unarmed, Scarlett took no action against Diego, mainly because he was serving Vespasian and he'd done nothing threatening to either of them. The prince's comment about him being a 'dog' now made sense.?

The redhead saw the desperation in Diego's eyes and knew for some reason he had been entrusted with Vespasian's safety and was trying to fulfill that duty.?

"I can get him to the tunnels. From there where does it take us? If I can get us to the surface I have a friend I can call. He has my van with a fully contained rear compartment so the prince I can be shielded from the sun. The only trick will be getting from the tunnels to the van."

She looked at Akira then. "Please have him room with you since you are without a current room mate and he seems comfortable with you." He gave her a nod, "yes, Ms. Mia. I will also take him to the school store for some shopping of things." She gave him a smile, "yes, and I will call ahead and cover the expenses. Thank you, Akira. If there isn't anything else, I need to find Del." She waited for a reply before heading off to find her love.

She then stepped into the room and determined the neatly made bed would be hers, as Splice's preferred bed was already a mess.

Diego paused long enough to look at the red haired vampire. "Near the throne room. I must go and see who else might need help, but I cannot leave the Prince." Diego said as he kept leading them towards the stairs that lead down to the lower levels. "We have a way to escape through the tunnels...need to get Prince Vespasian to them." Prince Vespasian simply shook his head. "I can get myself there, dog. You can go." Diego looked at the Prince with mixed emotions. He hated being under the man's ownership, but at the same time, knew that the Prince had to survive the attacks.

Hollywood exited the tunnels into the subway system. She made her way to one of the trains that was just about to leave. She quickly boarded the train and as it left the station she pulled out her phone and called Ari. She wondered what Eli was up to and why and how she managed to pull off what was happening at the Society.
