(Old Chase)
Chase noticed her stirring, he moved to make sure she was ok.? Checking her pulse he had laid her on the cot, he kept eye on the sheriff he had helped them to escape but to what end.? They had to fight a siege from a jail.? Fun, done that before…sucked so wasn’t in a hurry to do it again.? Seeing the other man run in butt naked from being outside made him smirk more than anything.? He was glad his transformations at least left him in pants…most of the time.? He watched his new partner in crime try to remove the excess sand from his body, then his guns only to sit down and start cleaning them.? ‘Smart man we will probably have to use them soon.
“She will be fine, good strong heart..stubborn as hell too.? So she will be ok.”? He replied as he looked at her turn to face the wall.? “Sucks for a first meeting…glad you were there though…thank you!”? He got out as he looked over the others.? He noticed Etienne wasn’t particularly happy to see him.? He on the other hand, found himself glad to see her…alive that is.? He just couldn’t help being drawn to her, even if she wanted nothing to do with him.
“So we need to talk!? What the hell is really going on and why can’t we get to Miller’s Crossing?”? Chase just put it out there, it should have simply been a stage ride from morning to dusk and he should have been there a couple of days ago.? So what was the deal and if everyone there was supposed to be there…or not if Amy was to be considered correct what was the deal with each one gathered here.? Someone was playing some kind of game with their lives and damnit he wanted out of it!!? “Anyone?!?”? He simply wanted answers

Callie shook off the sand and looked to Chase as he demanded answers. She looked over the group then turned to him.
"I can tell you what I know," she said. "Contact was lost with Miller's crossing. Flynn and I were sent to find out what happened. Based on what we've seen here, I'd say what we're dealing with is a demonic force. Some of the folks here in Bendo have been possessed by evil entities. Some of what we are seeing are demonic minions. They've used magic to try and keep us from reaching Miller's crossing. We believe drinking water from the town will make you forget about Miller's crossing.
"We can hold out here for a while, but if this continues we will need to get to the church," Callie said. "Holy ground is the only place we can truly be safe on. I have weapons to fight these things but they are all back in my hotel room."
She produced six bullets from her gunbelt which she loaded into one of her revolvers. "These are silver and blessed. They can kill minor demons. This is all I'm carrying on my person."
She looked around at the group, waiting for reactions.
