"I'm sorry that I suggested you keep anything from your husband. I didn't mean that way. I just meant you have all been so kind to me and I didn't want to involve you further in my mess. After all you have your own little one to look after yourself. But you are right," she said with a smile. "You know your home better than I do. Thank you again for your help. As you say the day grows close. You should get some rest. Thank you again," Anais said with a smile.
(Juliet) Juliet looked at Anais and listened to the girl's heartbeat for a moment, then said, "please don't try and run on your own. I can't tell you what you should or should not do, but I know a desperate look in a prey's eyes when I see it and right now, you have that look. You want to flee, but I am suggesting that you don't. We have look outs and if anyone from the manse comes to the woods, we will know. And we have many hiding places here and can easily hide you away as well. Try and get some sleep. I hope to still find you here after day break." With that Juliet got up, closed the door down some and left Anais to herself. She wouldn't stop the girl from fleeing if she really wanted to.
Juliet and Trevor put their daughter to bed, then met with the rest of the pack around the central fire. She filled them in as to who the girl was, Evie, and that she was with child and that she did escape from Vincent. He wants her children. Why, Juliet did not know. After everyone was informed, everyone retired to their cottages for sleep, and the watch shift changed for the rest of the night.
