Re: Port Vega: The Night's Elegance (Mia, Del, Open)

(Mia)

As Mia wandered along the fence she heard some music coming from the eastern side of the estate.? Curiosity got the better of her and she decided to see where it was coming from.? As she walked she could hear people talking and eventually came to the end of the fenced area to a parking lot.? At the other end was a smaller part of the estate buildings with the words, The Night's Elegance, lit up on the front and a few people going into the entrance.

She decided that she would discover this new place she had found and walked up to the entrance.? The door man gave her a smile, "good evening, the cover is $50, and an ID."? Mia wondered if her age would play a factor in getting.? She handed the man her ID first with a returned smile.? He looked it over, then placed a red band around her wrist, "and now the cover, please."? She handed him the money, "certainly." She said with her charm as he then stepped aside and let her into the speak easy.

(Del)

It was a typical night at the Night's Elegance.? Things were starting to get busy and the usual young crowd was drifting in, pausing at the door to pay the cover and get their appropriate colored wrist-bands, without which they wouldn't be let in.? The owner of the place had put a lot of money into remodeling the place to resemble an authentic 1920's speakeasy, from the antique lighting and furniture to the art deco windows and brass fixtures behind the bar.? And she didn't want kind of infractions causing her trouble, particularly the kind someone caught engaging in underage drinking at her establishment could bring.

At the long and beautifully polished bar, Delphine "Del" Montclair was busy serving drinks as the place began to fill up.? She liked working at the Night's Elegance, not only for its elegant d¨¦cor?but also because it attracted, in her opinion, a nicer crowd than the usual college bars.? And because of the opportunities it gave her to be of use to her special patron who had done so much for her since recruiting her into her service.

Del knew it the moment the newcomer entered the speakeasy.? People like the kind she was tasked with watching for gave off a special aura, one that she feel as well as see.? Putting some freshly cut limes away, Del glanced over at the entrance, quickly seeking for and locating just who had triggered her special sense.??

"Harry," Del said, turning on her charm as she smiled at her fellow bartender, a young man with cherry-colored glasses and a period bowtie, "can you take over for a bit?? I need to go welcome someone."

"Sure, no problem."? Harry stepped up to take her position.? He knew that the owner sometimes gave Del extra jobs that were not to be questioned, but he didn't mind.? He like Del.? Everybody did, really.? And no one ever thought about it for more than a few seconds.? She made sure of that.
??
"Thanks, love." Del said, slipping down to the end of the bar and stepping out from behind it.? It wasn't hard for her to find the newcomer in the crowd.? The girl's aura was almost like a beacon, shining bright amid the milling and chatting student crowd.

"Hello, love," Del said, putting on her most welcoming smile and cranking up her charm.? "I'm Del.? Welcome to the Night's Elegance.? I don't believe I've ever seen you here before, in which case may I offer you our special complimentary Cuban Sunset?? We like to properly welcome all our new patrons."? She nodded casually down at the girl's red wristband and smiled even wider.? "It's non-alcoholic, so no worries.? But tastes like a dream.? I think you'll really like it."
