Draven could indeed see Anais and saw that she was close to venturing off of the estate's property. Deciding that enough was enough, he dropped from the balcony, landed on his feet and pulled on his vampire blood to increase his speed.

In a manner of minutes he was in front of Anais, "okay, you are about to leave the property. Please stop and talk to me. None of what happened was done to hurt you. I think your father, in his own way, was trying to protect you. I know that is what the twins, Dru and I were doing."
