Maureen The easiest way to order birth and death certificates prior to 1924 at least is to use the GRO's own search at If you do the search for Ann Whitley died 1875 in Bradford it will fail But

Maureen You need to be careful when entering the dates and be careful because the first date required is the date of probate which is 19 Oct 1869 the second date is the date of death 13 Sep

You do not need to put in all the details, thats why its not coming up for you All you need is the year, the surname and key words Four Lanes Nothing else is needed And as I said you don't need to
