Great news! I got mail today, a Midisport 2x2, and it works perfectly with the qy70, seems cheap midi interfaces really do suck lol. Thanks a lot guys!

That looks quite solid, how well does it work in using the QY70 with the data filer. On a sidenote, i remembered that my audio interface (an old M-audio ultra fast track 8r) has a midi breakout cable

Had you looked at MidiOX ? http://www.midiox.com/ It is free and very easy to use, though I myself use Filer¡­ but I did have an issue with a QY70 song restore one time¡­ saved fine but wouldn¡¯t

Someone in an earlier post mentioned having success using SysEx Librarian. ?Might be worth a try with your current MIDI cables. Also check some of the most recent post about backing up I believe
