Hello! I'm curious if this problem was ever solved. I picked up a DX-7 today which I got for free and it has a similar problem. When powered on, it says 88. Memory Protect Cartridge On. It's stuck

Thanks Greg, You were totally correct,I do apologize,the TX81Z is at the bottom of my rack which means bending myself double and lying on the floor,I didn't go far enough in the menus. Jason

Thanks Greg, Talk about cryptic on the TX81Z probably will end up just using the presets,I can't even see "midi transfer done" or whatever on it and the 32 user voices are still the bloody same

the only way you will get sounds like that with a fm synth is a sy99 using spectra samples and the fm patches i use additive synth waveforms and dx7 patches
