the only way you will get sounds like that with a
fm synth is a sy99 using spectra samples and the fm patches
?
i use additive synth waveforms? and dx7

Hello Bill,
welcome to the group!
I fear you won't have a
chance to get such sounds from a DX7. The sounds
in the Technics keyboards
are excellent multi samples. The DX7 can do
some kind of vowel like
"resonant" modulation, which sound a little bit
like "aaah", but it will
miss all the breath and aspirateing, that a
sample can provide easily. DX7
"voice" and "choir" patches sound very
poor in comparison to any sampled
voices/choirs.
