Hi Stephen,

the FS1R is only accepting DX7 patches and only single Voice dumps, no
Banks. The 4OP FM synts like DX100, DX9, DX21, TX81z ... are not directly
supported...
I guess this is because the 4OP synths modulators have a higher modulation
index (what can be emulated) and the LFO of those synths are also faster
then the FS1R and the DX7 ones...

Btw. there's also a FS1R list on yahoogroups and a bigger one on
www.teklab.com...

Hi, I'm new to the YamhaDX list.
I want to load DX100 patches into my FS1R.
I know this is possible via sysex.

I just tried the dx7 files again the "all banks.zip"
I download and then the winzip tells me it's an "invalid archive". It won't
open the zip file.
I tried it a couple of times, any hints.
Sorry for my error.

When I send banks of patches to my TX7 they all wind up in mono mode
with portamento turned on. When I send them to my DX7 they come in
fine. Any ideas?

but it might have something to do with volume pedal.
I mean, If cubase sends a message
telling the DX7 that the volume pedal is set to "00".

draw back: impossible to load dx7 banks with 32 patches
plus: it works on single patches... :)

I recently got the DX-200 from Yamaha.

My God, it's amazing. With the editor that comes with the unit on CD-
ROM, it's opened my mind to FM. The synth looks very simple from the
panel, but once you dive into the computer editor, you realize,
quickly, how deep everything becomes.

It's goofy, but I can't stop playing this instrument. :)
