Hi Andy,
HTH.? To be fair, it was confusing the first time I tried to edit a
voice, too. '80s Yamaha manuals are among the worst I've ever seen!

Thanks, Bruce.?
Yes, that works for me too? - now I know what to do.? I've been
over and over that part of the manual, and it just doesn't explain
how to save it, as far as I can see.? I've lost every attempt at
editing, before knowing to do that.? It had taken on a bit of an
unexploded bomb feeling.
I did find a bit about restoring the edit buffer, from the utility
menu, but it didn't explain what would happen if I did - I fully
expected to find myself back in the edit mode, still without any
way to save it.? I didn't want to try doing that, because I'd left
it in edit mode, rather than lose another attempt at altering a
patch.
Now I've got a TX802 in front of me, the manual seems lightweight
and woefully inadequate.? I've read manuals for other Yamaha FM
synths I own, and never had that feeling before.
- Andy
