I used to use an ft847 and the sat mode is a special mode designed to be used only when doing qso’s via satellite.? The mode provides automatic frequency tracking to track the satellites as they traverse the sky so you don’t have to do manual tracking.? It made tracking the satellites effortless.? Of course you still had to use satellite tracking software on your computer.? The full duplex meant that you could hear and talk to the satellite at the same time.? Check this out on the net.? HI Andy Needless to put it in SAT if on the same band, at most use VFO A and B and not SAT mode. ?
