I don't use N1MM but use the LDG tuner and other software with the 818 at 38400?
Taking a few minutes, I went to the N1MM site and looked through the on-line manual?
Take a look at? ? Manual > DOCs > SETUP > The Configurer
Scroll Down to "SET Button Examples" and you will find....



Just from the example, it appears that you can set the port to 38400 and so on.

This is directed to anyone using N1MM software. I have a problem with the program using my 817. I have the LDG tuner at 38.4 baud with 8N2? RTS. The program says 4600 baud.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have the YF-122S SSB Filter. If you have the same filter installed, try this approach.?
Maybe I'm faking myself out, but these settings seem to tighten up the band pass significantly for CW.
If it doesn't work for you, just reverse the settings or use some combination that helps?

Hold the "F"unction button to get into the second menu?
? Go to the Item # 38 Op Filter?
? Select CW? (Although set to CW, it will be fine on SSB if you do not have NAR selected. Set to SSB if you want NAR to function with SSB)
Hold the "F" button again to save
Press the "F" again to get into the first menu?
? Go to the "IPO ATT NAR" screen?
? ?Select NAR?
? Press "F" again?

? ? Optional - Select IPO if 30m and below. It by-passes the preamplifier stage which is not really needed unless you are on 20m and up?
? ? and/or - Select ATT if there are extremely strong signals. It will help if the RX is really overloaded.

Quite honestly, I really can't tell much of difference in LSB or USB, with SSB selected in Menu #38 along with NAR.??

I'm trying to achieve something that I'm not sure if possible, so I will do the best I can do describe it.

I own both Yaesu FT-818nd and SCU-17 (TNC) that I mostly use for digital modes, in specific js8call. Recently, I managed to use a Linux box (Alsa sound driver -> Pipewire sound server -> Helvun + EasyEffects) as DSP, allowing me to receive clean audio.

When the SCU-17 is connected to PC, a dedicated ft-818 microphone and speaker are made available to Linux/Windows OS. On the PC, I have flrig that allows me to trigger the PTT via software - it works.

I'm now trying to use the PC microphone, through SCU-17 to transmit voice audio.?

Is this possible? Anyone already doing this?

Anyone know where I can get a replacement battery door and screws?? Mine won't hold the door any more.
