FT-60 transmitting off frequency on 70cm
Hello, |
开云体育For ham radio frequencies, the radio should be set for wide. ?Public safety and commercial freqs are narrow.?Jardy Dawson WA7JRD Message sent by....Oh look!! Pretty lights!! On Jul 12, 2024, at 19:00, VK3DCR <ryanmark1994@...> wrote:

Hi Ryan,
?
If yor TX frequency is off, then the PLL reference frequency needs adjustment.
It is normal, that a frequency error is about three times higher on 70cm than on 2m.
?
If you record the original setting, you can just give it a try. If it does not correct the problem, you can revert to the original setting.
A trustworthy frequency counter makes the adjustment easier and more precise.
?
It is also possible, that your radio has another problem, not related to the reference oscillator setting.

I finally got around to adjusting the PLL reference frequency today. I used my SDR and while transmitting, just turned the reference frequency up until it lined up with the desired frequency. Now both 2m and 70cm transmissions are right on frequency and all distortion/clipping is gone. Thanks for your help, Chris! |
