Hi Clint, and anyone else with sat experience: I have not yet tried working a sat, but want to give it a try. ?I have read up a bit on it and have a yagi. ?I think I know how to get started with

Sorry, all. None of these solutions work. I guess there's no way to insert a blank space. K6SCC FT-60@...> wrote:

Re: Blank Space/Alpha Tags
There is a blank space in amongst the "special" characters (!@#$%^&*, etc.). Step through them slowly and you will find it. It's easy to miss if you go too fast. 73, Jim K5JG bdchristensen@...

Re: ft60 keys stuck down
Thanks, nothing that I know of has spilled on the radio. WHEN I PURCHASED THE RADIO, I BOUGHT THE extended warrenty, and talked to Hro TODAY, AND SENDING IT BACK TO THEM. Kelly L. Howard, II 417 Broad

Re: ft60 keys stuck down
I suspect something has been spilled on the radio, and removal of the keypad membrane and cleaning of the contacts and pads on the back is in order. Used to see this a lot on tv remotes. This

Re: duck
I've used the Smiley on my FT-60 and it worked well. Since it is a telescoping design, you can calculate an optimum length and use that if desired. My only recommendation is to take the end cap off

Re: Aftermarket Batteries
They do retain their charge while un-used for a longer period of time. But "better" for radios? Not sure what you mean ... They certainly are rated at FEWER discharge-charge cycles than NiMH

Aftermarket Batteries
Greetings all: I know the Lithium-ion batteries are supposed to be better for radios, and some of you swear by a particular aftermarket AA cell; Enerloop, I think the name was. But is there any reason

Re: no heatsink compound under final transistor on yaesu ft-60r
This is so much of a non-issue ... I mean, I have owned FT-60R HTs since the moment they were available in the United States. Never once has one shut down nor failed in any manner due to over-heating
