This is so much of a non-issue ... I mean, I have owned FT-60R HTs since the moment they were available in the United States. Never once has one shut down nor failed in any manner due to over-heating

How about an antenna that costs less than one-half of the SRH-320A - but out-performs the Diamond on 2M? The Smiley 270A. Benefits: It is only 7" tall when you just need "traditional" performance. But

I use a Diamond SRH77CA. I can hit my repeater with 1/2 watt. The repeater is 18.3 miles away and I have direct line of sight to it. But, normally I'll use the 2 watt setting on that repeater for a

Ok guys, I had a Diamond DA-77 (I think thats right) seemed to be a slight improvement over the stock antenna. Don't have it anymore so what is your idea of the best walk-about antenna for the ft-60?

Yes. The wall wart does not put out enough power. If you use the car charger into the side port with over 3 amps, it should work ok. Lots of people use this setup for mobile use with a speaker mic and

I wonder if everyone else has taken there ht apart as I have done and discovered that there was no heatsink compound under the final transistor so I applied some to the final so it will pull the heat
