Press the 'Fw' button
Then press the '0' button
You will now be in the set menu.?
Rotate the top right knob to display item number '40'
Again press the 'Fw" button but do it quickly
Now you can rotate to top right knob to select: Auto - FM - AM
Select the mode you want and then press the transmit button momentarily .
Voila you are in the new mode.

Anyone know how to switch to AM when punching in frequencies on the
aircraft band? I hoped the radio could be smart enough to switch on the
fly, when you enter a frequency between 108-136, but mine stays in FM.
