FT-290R2 - Key Beep Disable

Glen

Hello,
Wondered if someone has successfully disabled the annoying key beep and scan stop beep with this series transceiver.

Re: FT-530 Display when off - clock/battery How to select

Hi Donald,

Thanks, I will give those a try. I've also asked Yaesu directly. I'll post any solution I get...

If you get an answer in one of the other groups, do please report back here so

FT-530 Display when off - clock/battery How to select

I'm hoping there are some old-timers hanging around here. I have an FT-530 I've had since 1998. I use it a lot, and have not had a total memory failure in decades, until recently. While changing the memory backup battery, something went wrong and it went to "factory reset".

I have restored all the important stuff, but one thing I had was the OFF display showed the battery voltage. Now it shows the clock. I can't find anywhere in the manual or my cheatsheets how to get back to the battery voltage display.

FTM-200 too many volts

Hi, all. Tonight I unfortunately put too many volts thru my FTM-200 and burned it up.? Anyone know if this is repairable? Maybe burned and internal fuse or diode?? Appears the FTM-500 has an internal fuse. Also looking for a schematic for this radio. Thanks for reading.

Yaesu FT-1000MP (plain version) Repair Question

Bill Pancake - W?BP

My beloved Yaesu FT-1000MP (the plain version, not a MkV or Field version) has suddenly developed a problem. The faceplate momentary contact "button" that transfers the VFO-A signal to VFO-B does not operate when I push it in. The button next to it that alternates the frequency from VFO-A to VFO-B and vice versa works fine. I do not hear a relay "click" then I push the VFO-A to VFO-B button like I do with the VFO-A alternating VFO-B button on the faceplate. I've done a factory reset a few times, inspected the radio's chassis, wiring, circuit boards and all looks fine. No smoke, crackles, sizzles, etc. I'm far from a repair expert regarding issue like this and would appreciate any help offered. Tnx, 73, Bill / w0bp

Re: Atlas Antenna Issue

Are you talking about an ATas 120 antenna? If so, a bad coax will cause what you speak of as will a bad Ground and from your discerption I would be checking the cable and the grounding.

Atlas Antenna Issue

I have been using an Atlas screw type antenna for several years with my FT-857D mobile.? Recently the antenna has failed to tune and when I push the tune button I only get a beep.? I have tried two different mobile radios and atlas antennas.? The radios are set to Atlas HF & 50.? The voltage is showing 13.5 volts.

Any information will be appreciated.

FS: Yaesu mobile mounting bracket

开云体育

I have for sale a Yaesu mobile mounting bracket that came with a FT7100 I purchased last year. It isn't exactly the MMB-36 but fits the radio and works with any other Yaesu that takes the MMB-36 which includes the FT1802/1900/3000/7800/7900/8000/8100/8500/8800/8900 and maybe others.

It comes with screws to attach it to the radio, and screws to attach it to your vehicle or other location. I am asking $13 shipped in the US and can take paypal/check/MO.

FTM-350

I just picked up a second hand FTM-350, with APRS and the GPS module installed. Hoping someone can help or at least offer some insight. I know this is an older, discontinued radio.

For whatever reason, it seems I don't have dual receive capability. Both left and right receive work, but only on whatever one is the main (as indicated by the triangle). Sub-band mute is off. APRS modem is off. I've gone through the manual but haven't seen anything that seemed relevant.

Was I reading the specs on this radio wrong and it doesn't actually have dual receivers?

Perhaps I just need to perform a factory reset.

G2700-SDX pinout vs. G2800-DXA

开云体育

Hi all,
I have a G2700-SDX in great condition, but the direction indicator no longer works on the control box. The rotor turns full CW/CCW but without the indicator I can't tell where. The plug on the motor is a 6pin, and the 2800 successor rotor now has a 7pin.
Does anyone know if a controller from a 2800 or 1000 can be wired for the older 2700 (a comparison document made by Yaesu lists the 2800 and 1000 features as being shared).
An email to Yaesu service in CA yielded nothing....they said they have no info on the 2700 (as if it were made by someone else).
Any help appreciated.

Idiom Press makes a board that gives the 2700SDX digital functionality, but it's not clear if the problem in the controller goes beyond a bad indicator. Possibly an RT-21 would work also, but trying to avoid that expense.

Adjustment / Calibration Procedure Documentation (Yaesu )

Hello Members -

Why do I see that Yaesu uses a paragraph style, individual step by step documentation style for their Adjustment / Calibration?
procedures? ( ie.? FT-767GX? and FT1000(d) , others? ) ?

Whereas, Kenwood and several other transceiver manufacturers use a Table or Spreadsheet style format for their units Adjustment / Calibration
procedures.
The Table format style appears much more appealing and easier to work with to self.

Has anyone here attempted to convert the Yaesu Calibration/Adjustment paragraph's to a Spreadsheet or Table format or know
of where to find a similar conversion ?
?
