Also, I have a dIfficult time getting the ADOBE “free” reader downloaded. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations about that.
I'm not sure what sort of trouble you are having, but this is the link to the
Adobe version. Some of the simpler free PDF readers don't work on password
protected PDFs that need to connect and verify through a remote site, like a
bank statement would need to do.
Here's the one for Adobe. Before downloading, UNCHECK the add-on they will
otherwise include for McAfee AV products:

This comes with a 14 day trial of the pro version, but I believe it's free if
you don't upgrade.
