Yamorc and Digitrax

Hi All,

I am currently using Diigtrax hardware, but as I get deeper into this area I am considering changing direction - with YaMoRC being a lead contender.?

My question is how much of my current Digitrax equipment I could continue to use via connection to a YD7100+YD7101 Set.

In terms of Digitrax equipment I currently have:
  • DCS210+ command station / booster
  • BXP88 occupancy detectors
  • DS74 stationary decoders

I like the Digitrax transponding feature, but I see the YaMoRC kit supports RailCom and assume that would provide the same or better functionality.

This may be a stupid question - If you can connect the BXP88 units to YaMoRC would the RailCom signal still pass through to the command station?

I am also trialing iTrain on a MacBook Air. I understand YaMoRC is compatible with Mac and I assume it interacts well with iTrain?

Thanks

David

Re: YD8116 feedback to iTrain #YD8116

Hi,

No, the YD8xxx decoders are one-way.

for having position feedback from your MP’s contacts, we advise our YD6016xx-GND feedback modules.

YD8116 feedback to iTrain #YD8116

If I use the YD8116 to switch my MP5 points, will the switch notify iTrains? Secondly, if I use a physical momentary push button switch on the layouts mimic panel to activate the MP5 driven point, does iTrain recognise via the YD8116 that the point switched manually?
Thanks in anticipation, Peter?
