I just ordered a YD7001E from Iron Planet Hobbies. There are 6 left as of this moment. I have been waiting quite a while for this to become available. What is the YD7001E? It's a DR5000 that has had the YD9401 added and the DCC and input voltage sensor added. You can read about it on the YaMoRC website. At the moment it seems to be the only way to get a YaMoRC command station apart from waiting for one to appear on eBay.

Hi Guys, I'm running my home layout on Itrain with Digikeijs equipment, apart from the DR5000 which has a YD9401 upgrade. I have been asked to plan a new layout for our club. We would like to use one manufacturers equipment throughout. I have managed to find the Yamorc equivalents for DR4088 = YD6016, DR4018 = YD8116, DR5000 = YD7010. But, I cannot find the equivalent for the DR4024 servo controller. I could use a YD8116 with relays or opto couplers on the output to feed an Arduino that drives the servos and the frog switching. But that seems to be the long way round when there used to be a really nice solution with the DR4024. So, my main question is this, is there another module that will drive servos or do I go to my Arduino? My follow up question is that while some Yamorc dealers are out there, there does not seem to be much in stock. And looking on the Yamorc web site many items are price TBD, delayed, na, cancelled, etc. So if we (the club) decide to go ahead and fit Yamorc equipment, where do I get it from? And bearing in mind I am in New Zealand, the answer could be anywhere in the world. Regards Pete S.

Just a simple question does the DR5000 support LCC as I am having problems trying to connect a TCS WiFi throttle without using JMRI. Any help greatly appreciated. Alec in UK

I am hoping for some advice or feedback with a small issue that is occurring across multiple YD7001 command stations (DR5000 + YD9401 upgrade). Each of the 5 upgraded YD7001 command stations use the version 1.5.5 firmware and Build-68 of the configuration software. For reference, each of the 5 YD7001-equipped layouts incorporate 1 or more dcc circuit breakers in order to split the track work into power districts, such that a short circuit occurring in one district does not shut down the entire layout. In addition, if we are using the Z21 app on our devices, all works well, as does using an on-screen throttle from the PC-based YD7001 config program. By this I mean that the running status (speed + functions + sound) of all locomotives operating in a specific power district is automatically restored following removal of the short circuit (or other track-power interruption) without the need to reset the running status of any one or more specific locomotives by recalling them individually in the throttle stack to do so. However, when used with the TCS UWT-100 or UWT-50e wifi throttles (or any app which interfaces with the internal YaMoRC WiThrottle protocol), we are observing that all locomotives affected by a short circuit need to have their running status reset, recalling each loco in the throttle stack to do so. Interestingly, if we use the TCS products in conjunction with a Digitrax LNWI connected to the YD7001 (instead of using the internal YD9401 WiThrottle protocol) we do not experience this problem of having to reset the locos - their operation is fully restored upon removal of the short circuit, much the same as the Z21 app or an on-screen throttle as mentioned earlier. Additionally, LocoNet-controlled locos (eg with software such as TrainController) also automatically restore loco operations after removal of a short circuit. Please forgive me for this long-winded explanation, but I am concerned there may be something I am doing incorrectly and/or have overlooked in a setting somewhere. Additionally, I am not sure if this issue resides with the TCS throttle products or WiThrottle-based apps, in which case I may need to reach out to these vendors also.
